I had the same issue with my 20Amp Epever....
I spoke with Epever and they kept asking me what the specs were on my Lithium batteries and I kept telling them and they kept asking me...
Just wasted my time knowing they couldn't fix it in my opinion as I gave them the specs!
Went over to Victron...
UPDATE
My Epever continued to cut out when current was higher than about 13amps for longer than about 5 seconds...
Bought a Victron 100V/50Amp MPPT controller and it works as it should with my lithium battery pack.
I moved my Epever to my moho lead acid battery and it works fine just topping...
I have a Bluetooth Thermometer in my battery with an alarm set if the temperature increases too much.
The charging issues are only present at the last stage of charging. During the initial bulk stage it's all working fine pumping in 15amps for hours...
It's when the State of Charge nears 100% of...
I don't have a BMS installed on my battery pack.
It's 16.5 as I am not charging the 4S pack to 100% which is 16.8V. 4,2V per cell.
My 4S packs stay within 10-20mV of each other and have done for months.
I did install a Daley BMS and still the same problem.
Hi
I have the 20 amp 100volt Epever charge controller.
When it’s discharged and the sun is out it’s putting in over 15 amps and everything is fine. The voltage started at 15.25 and then slowly rose until around 16.5 which is when it starts acting weird and cuts out. It’s as though it can’t...
I have three panels the same.
Two on the roof and one on the back of my Moho at 90 degrees to the ground facing south.
I was thinking to keep the voltage up I could have the two on the roof in parallel and then that pair in series with the one on the back.
I read something the other day about when the voltage from the panels drops below 15v it has trouble charging efficiently? So I thought during the winter I would put them in series as two panels generating say 12v each would make 24v…
Have you heard about this sort of thing?
Hi
The controller I have is capable of upto 100volts of panel voltage.
I have two 290watt panels I want to put in series having had them in parallel for ages. I have three of them in parallel at the moment.
I’ve not had an issue with over-panelling as the total power was nearly 900 watts as...
I have it in User mode and all the settings are working fine for my 3S pack.
As the default duration is 180 mins I’ve just left it at that. I was just wondering if increasing it would speed up charging or does it not make any difference as Float takes care of of and I can’t speed up the charging...
