Well I am trying to properly size battery bank for my home.
10000kwh per year average use.
I did the online calculator at unbound it says I need 37kwh battery bank on 833-900kwh used a month:unsure:.
900/30 is 30kwh why is it adding 7kwh to the factoring? inverter loss? cloudy days?
I am...
I know this has been discussed and Will made a video but I can not find it for the life of me.
I want to maximize life and use of the battery and take the 80% of power available from the eg4 battery before recharging via solar or grid.
how do I accomplish this? what are the settings I need...
my questions about 2 different inverters using/drawing power from 1 large battery bank each one on its own panel. can this be done??
Well I am looking at getting real close to getting everything I need to take home off the local power company.
10000kw a year avg should be 6.6kw array that I...
well I am trying to save some $$ and build my own 48v 280ah battery vs 3 more eg4 batteries.
but want to be able to monitor it with my eg4 inverter if possible .
I have 1 eg4 5.1 kw battery already just want and will need 300ah minimum for power needs.
Is there a way to have both batteries...
was looking at those units as they seem to be rock solid for sure. 2 of them might be able to cover my needs. a good 50amps 120v per leg & being consensus of power use and not having to many items on at 1 time should be easy enough.
now to get another 300AH of batteries
I am looking at going away from my local power company as much as possible & the costs.
I have done the math 10000kw a year avg use needs a 6.64kw solar array and 15kw in batteries minimum to off set my use in Oklahoma.
Currently I have 1 48v 5.1 eg4 rack battery bought for another project...
https://www.santansolar.com/product/unused-first-solar-460w-solar-panel/
Claiming 188v from a single panel roflmao. Yes or no true or false is this possible???
I have starlink it is fantastic & im not even in a serviced area LOL. 60 megs down all day. I shunt with wifi and should be easy to monitor.
I have the eg4 not installed yet and got 1 rack battery going to have 3 in total. I want to monitor mine for sure & with the starlink it makes it possible...
No I'll have eg4 100ah rack unit and then add 1 or 2 more as $$ allows. Made the decision for eg4 Aio and battery to make easy all in series on panels so no issues on dcv. Just not happy with the standby use 70 watts maybe 40 if lucky.
Going drive and get it's cheaper then shipping even with...
that's a added $400 for a 200v controller, on top of the AIO I am not liking this situation at all, there has to be a easier way to make this work.
a better AIO unit or something.
there new 6.5 egs AIO comes on at 60v not 120 v like the 3k unit WTH signature solar how about a consistent mppt...
but then I am out 480 watts of power that won't cut it for me I would rather take the risk of frying a AIO then not getting my wattage of 2400.
I am trying to run air conditioner on my solar power. need at least 2k watts.
if I got with the ES model it has 250v max but starts at 120v but will...
I am located in Oklahoma but plan on taking the 5th wheel all over the country.
so conditions will change on a regular basis when traveling. with the 5% added 142.17 VOC would be total on string of 5, yes extremely close to the 145 voc.
I just don't see it ever hitting that high most panels...
