    Hurricane System Question/Problem w/MPP HV LV2424 AND Generator ~URGENT

I guess the only immediate solution is to carefully balance my loads and vary charge current, and ride the SBU/SUB switch. Thanks (all)

    Hurricane System Question/Problem w/MPP HV LV2424 AND Generator ~URGENT

Not fine, as my loads often exceed my small generator output, but not my 2400w inverter output.

    Hurricane System Question/Problem w/MPP HV LV2424 AND Generator ~URGENT

it is cloudy, so i have ~no solar.. Ideally, I'd like to run my loads continuously off the LV2424 inverter (I have 15Kwh batteries), and just recharge batteries at a limited current from a small 800/1000 generator as needed/during day. But it seems there is no way to do this, As in SUB mode...

Received 'new' power station with zero% charge

and when the batteries swell up and catch fire in a year, then what?? However, Amazon gave me a full refund and told me to keep the unit, so we'll see! will recharge (forever) in fireproof area, and monitor it's kwh Oupes has father's day sale on same model (600w) for $390, tempting.. It...

Best Bang for my Buck - Solar Generator

You wont find an 'enclosed' unit that meets your needs for that price or at all, most have very low watt ratings. And you'd still have to hook up solar with potentially cumbersome adapters, here is rough equiv, $6000 (but only 600w solar, not enough capacity in panels nor controller): Will P...

Best Bang for my Buck - Solar Generator

Correction, *MIDEA (often on sale for under $300) Here is mine running from almost 9pm to now (I turned temp from 71 to 72 at midnight, ~500 watts/hour avg, higher temp setting. is much le$$, this is in FL heat) Battery started at only 89% full at 9pm, now 55%, but this is 15kwh of batteries

Best Bang for my Buck - Solar Generator

FIrst, check out Media U inverter window AC if you are in the market, depending on temperature, they could run a few hundred watts/hour. Refrig is about 2kwh/day, fan 1kw, lights 500w, AC could be 10kwh/day if 24 hours. So you'd need at least 5kwh batteries, and a bunch of panels, at least...

Received 'new' power station with zero% charge

thanks, but these could have been dead for a year, while they seem to work, cycles could be reduced to a fraction, which I wouldn't find out about until after return period ends

Received 'new' power station with zero% charge

I bought a non-branded version of Oupes 600w power station on Amazon for slightly reduced price ($350 vs $460), but when I received, battery SoC was at 0%, date of mfg was 5/2021. Every Oupes 'unboxing' video I've seen, the units have 80% charge, and most of us know to keep lithium healthy to...

    EG4 Lifepower4 - Why is SoC unbalanced?

I was hoping the BMS was smart enough to use comm between 2 units to balance by varying charge/discharge on each, doesn't look like it, unless something isn't working correctly. This is 24v MPP LV2424 btw, EG4s in parallel.

    EG4 Lifepower4 - Why is SoC unbalanced?

Over 7% difference in SoC, isn't the RS485 comms supposed to balance them? Also, wondering how SoC is derived? (unrelated, AH seems to be reported incorrectly by SA) 2x 24v 200AH EG4 LifePower4

MPP PIP–1012LV-MS Solar amps / MPPT limit seems lower than spec

Measure your battery voltage/SoC while you are applying max charging power, make sure they still read 12.7. As SCC will taper down power when it senses battery is near full (and receiving high PV power). SCC will usually read higher than idle voltage when charging. Perhaps try running a high...
