I am with you, I just found out they also discontinued the 6500ex. I started with one last spring and ordered a second last week, sales told me they oversold and discontinued the 6500ex and they will let me know if my order was affected. I didn't know I bought into a short term solution. :(

I have one of these and yes the wires seem crossed, it is top left to bottom right and vise versa. I recommend that you check this with a multi-meter to verify yours is the same. Simple just do a continuity test.

I will try this - Our big issue right now is with the PV controllers - I tried PV2 and have the same results - we need to interrupt the solar input at least once if not twice a day so that the input increases and properly charges the batteries. Trying to patiently wait for the fix. Thanks James

It appears that the cable they send me for the EG4 > Battery communication only works one way, if I swap the ends I get a 61 error, if I flip it back the error goes away. I labeled my cable so that if I ever disconnect it I won't get it backwards. Do you still get error 61 if you reverse the cable?
