How much solar power should I expect from 500W panels

OK so we have PV input voltage and total watts consistent with what the SCC can accept and Voc is 101v'ish is comfortably higher than the max battery voltage. *FYI - can you share the model of SCC?, maybe someone will be familiar with settings to check. Some possible issues that come to...

How much solar power should I expect from 500W panels

Can you share details (model and specs) on your SCC? Maybe the 2s voltage range or overall wattage coming in does not match very well.

How much solar power should I expect from 500W panels

Can you share details on your Charge Controller / Battery-bank / setup. Looks like you're showing an off-grid setup? Is your battery full? (what's the voltage range you're using). As mentioned above, the Charge Controller will throttle input if you're not using PV and your battery is full.

Connecting solar to house, without connecting to grid

The ATSs I listed above (Go Power and Progressive Dynamics) don't have current limitations / load shedding relays - they're just interconnected mechanical relays with an XXsec delay control board on the generator side input to let a generator stabilize after startup.

Connecting solar to house, without connecting to grid

    I use - 2 of these (Go Power ATS) - they are 120v @ 30a - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00153EYTO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - 2 of these (Progressive Dynamics ATS with Surge) - 240v(120v) @ 50a -...

    LVX-6048 Ground Fault

I have a LV3048 in a trailer. When I plug the 120v input (to the LV3048) into a house circuit with GFCI it trips 'soon' (second or 2). The ground is the house ground -> LV3048 -> trailer distribution box -> various things (hot water heater, TV, etc). Nothing is grounded to the trailer frame...

    Has the group been hacked?

I got spamed on tis forum + another forum that uses this software - in just the last few minutes. Both of the spams appeared to come from the same user id and the message I got was the same exact words.

    Has the group been hacked?

Just got the same sex spam on this forum and on another one - same id / private message - exact same words.

How does your inverter deal with ground.

At the US AC level I believe I understand and all my stuff is grounded. Its the DC side - e.g. the battery - that I don't get. I have a 48vdc system. In general what's the logic of DC ground vs AC ground - can they be shared? should thy be different? does DC need to be grounded? I have...

How much solar power should I expect from 500W panels

New panels. After 3 years of operation I observe.... On clear'ish hot summer days... I get at least 80% of the rated PV on typical summer days. I attribute 5%'ish of that 'loss' to sub-optimal angle + dust on them. 10% of that is likely HEAT 90-100F/32-38C - this is a noticeable factor...

BigBattery 12v 170AH in series balance issues.

Seems like there's often the question - can I combine self-contained batteries with their own BMSs. For example, can you put 2 x SOK (12v) in series for 24v or any set of self-contained batteries with their own BMSs. One answer seems to be - some manufacturers explicitly support this up to X...

BigBattery 12v 170AH in series balance issues.

Sounds like the BMS on one of the batteries is doing hi-voltage cut-off too soon. Yikes... I'll be interested to follow this. Did you query BigBattery/ are they responsive on this question?

    Batrium BMS setup 8s3p

I run 2 Batriums - so I can see what's happening in my home powerwall packs and in my trailer. Balancing is misunderstood (in my opinion) and leads to long discussions about 'active balancers' and other topics. The key thing is that healthy cells (no self-discharge) that are well matched...

Lean-to Shed Solar Power for Year Round Use

Yes. As I understand it - "MPP Solar" is the overall company. PIP is a short-hand term for *off-grid* models as apposed to hybrid models. The LV2424 is an off-grid model. Most jurisdictions require a fireman's quick-disconnect (an off switch or breaker) near the panels on the outside...
