Initially I was interested in this battery, but the weight deterred me. I've been looking for lower cost and UL9540. I found a low cost option in Canada and it was UL9540A tested, but not UL9540 listed with Sol-Ark. Now I'm focused on Pytes. My state NH, requires UL9540.

I haven't had any new data since April 10 (4 days ago). During the day the TIGO server is nonresponsive. Anyone else experiencing this?

Mine came back. I monitor 3 systems. They came back at different times. All 3 were out for more than 4 hours.

What is your Battery Empty setting? I set mine to 45.5 volts. I'm not sure, but I think Sol-Ark uses this value to determine 0% SOC.

This is for the basic TIGO RSS. The Sol-Ark can power it. For TIGO that offers monitoring or optimization, an external power supply is required.

Not suggesting that you use comms. I'm suggesting that you use voltage and not %.

You need a transfer signal that occurs upon loss of grid power. The Sol-Ark Gen Start Relay isn't going to do that. If the transfer switch is wired correctly, there is no way the load terminals of the Sol-Ark would connect to the grid. Your SLD doesn't show where the transfer signal comes from...

I live on a road off 125. All the Consolidated poles are short and redundant. They're planted right next to the Eversource poles. Must be different elsewhere.

Connect them where the external CTs for the grid connect. The UI menu would tell the Sol-Ark if the CTs are deployed to the Grid or the Gen input.

That's a position I haven't heard on this forum. Most say that Deye is the origin of these inverter, not SunSynk. Can you supply something that supports your statement.

Thanks Brucey. In that post, Sol-Ark was quoted saying not compatible with TIGO optimizers. That doesn't agree with their declaration.

Now I see that turning off TOU just moved the phantom 200 watt load from the battery to the grid. :rolleyes: I submitted a support ticket request this morning.

From your description you would use pins 5 and 7, closed to start the generator, open to stop the generator.

How? My 6.8 KW system produced 74 KWH in January, 1/10 of my monthly usage. I would need a 68 KW system and a boat load of batteries.

Here's a link to DEYE certifications. I don't see any model numbers that hint US model.

I saw the same issue with PowerView. If you try to enter a value greater than 60, you get an error and it doesn't save.

It is possible to get an exemption to the 3 foot spacing requirement with UL9540A testing. The SS manual shows much less than 3 foot spacing. It must be their intention to achieve this exemption.

Set the %SOC or battery voltage for Grid charge that you want the batteries to start charging. This is under the charge tab in battery settings.

You should resubmit your interconnect application. Anymore than 15 KWAC would be a violation of your interconnect agreement. I'm an Eversource NH customer.

20.4 is not 20.0, but it is 20. I know my AHJ hates solar, but he hates it so much that he doesn't even do a proper inspection. For the inverter and PV, he only looked at the disconnect and RSD switch.

Do you know if the external CTs are installed? They are required for grid peak shaving. Also, 12,000 watts for grid peak shaving seems rather high if your goal is to use as little grid as possible.

Are you aware of the 120 rule? Most 200 Amp main panels have 200 Amp bus bars that limit the backfeed breaker to 40 Amp. That's 7680 watts. The Sol-Ark 15K would be overkill. And yes, connect to the Sol-Ark grid terminals, not load terminals.

Probably not. My install required an external disconnect. Also, my installer installed a lockable circuit breaker. The utility rejected it. They wanted a knife switch lockable disconnect.

My default grid mode is SRD-UL1741 and I'm able to make changes to grid parameters.

I performed a power cycle reset today and now my graph data for today is severely wrong showing export of 2,000KWH with little to no PV. Edit: It's a one day error. However, month and year export data are now greater than PV production. :rolleyes: .

I read today that ground neutral bond should be at the first point of disconnect. Is this true? I had a Sol-Ark 15K installed with an external AC disconnect. I doubt my installer moved the ground neutral bond from my main service panel to the disconnect. Why would this be important?

You can parallel multiple 15K. You can also AC couple other inverters into the Gen Input with a 100 amp limit.

This agreement may not be current. If it is why were 3 phase units in WA bricked? Also, one in Costa Rica (Central America) was bricked. The Sol-Ark dealer map shows many dealers in Central America.

Correct, but I suspect Sol-Ark just deleted the selection from the GUI, not the functionality. Sol-Ark tech support told me to wait and see if the selection is available in the new MySolArk monitoring app that should be available in May.
