this is actually what i did to deal w the issue until i could set aside the time to top balance again. glad my hunch was correct. this is my first time building a battery. learned soooo much in doing it.

thank you for the manual! so glad there's one out there. when i disassembled the battery to top balance again, i tested the bms connections and they were solid. ea connection is dual crimped from both directions and heat shrinked w an adhesive lined connection. will definitely try a few cycles...

hmm. thx for the responses. im watching the bms balance rather quickly. so for instance, one cell was at 3.55v and the other was at 3.65v. within an hour, theyre both within .015v. this is actually better than it was. have also noticed it wont balance while charging. once i disable charging...

no, it did just the opposite. when i moved cell 1 to cell 3, it began charging more quickly. whereas, in it's previously location in the battery pack, it was charging more slowly or not at all if #3 reached it's protection cutoff level. all batteries were top balanced via desktop power supply...

i can confirm your statement. i had been using a heavier gauge wire instead of the default alligator clips that came w/ the power supply. i just tried the alligator clips instead. it works as expected in constant voltage mode when using the clips. but it only puts out 4a. when i use my heavier...

i've watched multiple videos w/ similar chargers that can maintain constant voltage despite SoC. Amps go down as the batteries approach a full charge. just trying to figure out why this charger won't remain in a constant voltage mode.
