Having a similar issue with Bluetti. You have to wonder if the customer service people in these companies get any training whatsoever or if they're just winging it. Its like they don't understand the most basic aspects of customer service. You sell a product and guarantee it. When there's a...
I've been trying to get service on my Bluetti EB240 for 5 months. I provided a copy of my credit card statement showing the payment to them but they continue to make excuses like "we can't find your order info" and the one attached. This company is just plain crooked IMO.
Exactly where I'm at. Was thinking about ordering but now I see this thread and am thinking twice.
That said, their prices are way lower than CC, NAZ, etc. Their 5kwh server battery is half the price of some of the others.
I'm in business and I can tell you, its almost impossible to have...
Q6: If I replace the included MPPT module for a batteries expansion, how much solar input can I use when the EB240 is unhooked from the expansion batteries and is in stand-alone mode?
A:
The EB240 could have a maximum of 500W from solar panels without MPPT module. You should set panels of 400W...
I placed an order for solar panels, battery and charger (chargeverter) on Jan. 7. I was told the chargeverter would be in stock middle of the month. Got the solar panels in a week. I was also told they were moving warehouses so it would be about a week before the battery would ship. Here it is...
My EB240 will support input of 500W and 68V OCV. If I put 5 100 watt 12V panels in series, in full sun I get about 300 watts input into the EB200. Does this mean I can add more panels until I get to 500W or is the voltage already maxed out w/5 panels? I just don't know if the lower watts means...
I have 2 bluetti eb240's and a harbor freight tailgator 2 stroke gas gen. I made an adjustable fast charge power supply that I can charge the bluetti's @ up to 500 watts. Sounds like I'm best buying another tailgator. Good to have a backup any way.
That's right. How many watts per gallon. From what I've read/seen, at 50% load, its going to cost an extra 20% in fuel to get the same amount of watts as if running @ 80%.
I'm trying to figure out how many watts I will save by using a 12V fan vs a 110V. For a fan that produces the same cfm, is it just the power to run the inverter for the 110V that you will save or are 12V more efficient in general? Thanks for any insights!
Years ago, when I got into music production, I bought an audio recording interface. I planned on buying a 2 channel because I just record vocals and guitar and use digital instruments for everything else. The sales guy talked me into a 6 channel because "you'll end up needing those channels down...
Capacity test on my EB240 using 500W space heater = 75% (1.8 KWH as measured by Killawatt) . Not too happy with that based on Hobotech's video where he got 2.1 KWH.
I want to be able to charge my 2400W bluetti solar gen with a gas gen for times when we have extended cloudy days but it only has a 200W AC input . Even with a 1000W gas gen its going to cost me a fortune since it will take 12 hrs for a full charge. Is there some kind of workaround or more...
Yes but the charge controller is built in to the solar generator. The panels are wired in series. I'm confused about the voltage
According to this article I just read, (https://diysolarforum.com/resources/fusing-wire-sizing-guidelines-for-solar-panels.144/)
the calculations should be as...
I've got 2 Bluetti EB240's. One won't charge and the other has no AC output. Bluetti is being impossible about servicing the one that is under warranty so I sure as hell won't send them the other one. The question is what can I salvage from these units if anything? I assume the batteries should...
That's really good. The real problem is you would need at half a dozen of them to provide a good amount of cooling for a person. I guess you could mount them in a box.
I just placed an order with Signature Solar. After getting the confirmation, I noticed two problems with the order. So I called and was hoping to leave a message to cancel the order so I can redo it but there is no voicemail. Now I have to call back or send an email which just wastes my time...
Am I understanding correctly that I need to store my LI batts in a conditioned space? I travel a lot and live in Georgia so it sounds like if I just leave the batteries in a hot house, they will degrade much faster. Is this true? Thanks!
In his How to Size your Solar Power System video Will sizes a hypothetical system using LI batts at 100% depth of discharge. He even compares it to LA batts at 50% dod. But then in his Lithium Battery Longevity video, the chart he shows says that if you do 100% dod on LI, will only get 300-500...
Here's the numbers I came up with for my new 48V system:
4 - 100w panels in series: 18.5V (VMP) x 4 = 74 V @ -12 deg C = 86.4V
3 parallel strings: 5.41A (IMP) x 3 = 16.23A x 1.25 = 20.29 A
86.4V x 20.29A = 1753W
panels are 60 ft from controller
20.29 amps @ 60 ft circuit = 8 awg wire?
Just read this:
"If you connect a generator to a all-in-one or inverter charger, it can destroy it! It is not designed to work with the dirt ac output generator by most generators."
Does this mean I'm risking ruining my solar gen by charging with my cheap gas gen?
I need a 500 watt pure sine inverter and a 20 amp controller with 1k panels and a 5k battery. Is this doable in 48V? The main reason I want to do 48V is I already have a 6k generator and want to get the chargeverter for backup. Having a hard time finding small components in 48V. Thanks!
