MC4 Connectors for 8 AWG Wire Connecting to MC4 for 10 AWG Wire

What did you end up using to crimp your 8 awg MC4 connections? I’m in the exact same boat. I have all my connectors, wire, etc, just need a MC4 crimper for 8 AWG without breaking the bank.

I already have the ms2012. The only major component I haven't bought yet is the LiFePO4 battery. But my thoughts on the 3000w inverter were the same. It was just too much for my needs.

It IS overkill, but I'm going to have it, so I figured use it. This is the part that makes my eyes cross. I've shoved a lot of knowledge in a cluttered space in a short amount of time. -Could you recommend a overcurrent protection product b/w the busbar and MS2012 inverter, and likewise for the...

    Second Controller

I'm doing the same. I do have the ability to connect my 2 controllers as a master (roof panels)/slave (on the side panels) unit to a remote panel but had I not gone that route, I would have just bought a budget friendly MPPT that could handle LiFePO4.

Unfortunately, my PD converter isn’t the lithium option. I’m actually setting up a master/slave system with solar controllers. The sb3024il (master) will control the 420w of panels on the roof and the sb3000i (slave) will control the solar on the side (160+ watts) and all will integrate with the...

That’s probably where I’m going. Had a screw loose (no pun intended ?), and felt underneath. It’s a raceway from the pass-thru-ish area and leading to wire loom under the sink area which leads over to the breaker panel under the oven. BAM! Now, if the tundra would thaw so I can take a better...

I’ll take pics once the tundra ends. Wish I’d done that when I measured. You’re right about the ventilation, so I feel the top mount is best. Btw, this is the arrangement with the solar controller out of the way.

AM I TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH TOO MUCH IN THIS SPACE? I know the circuit protection is missing. This is the size of my pass-thru wall panel I’m trying to work with for my components. There’s a possibility I can mount the solar charge controller above my fridge space where the remotes will be...

And I'm planning on 150-300watts solar panel suitcase on the side with a separate charge controller. I haven't decided if I will buy one with the charge controller or use the extra 3000i controller and network it with the SB3024iL. You're right, I didn't want to upgrade the converter so I'm...

Space and weight have been my biggest constraints. I hand-drew my roof layout and I'm planning on replacing the Go Power panel (from the factory) with a 210w Newpowa panel and placing another on the same side but toward the back of the trailer. The plan is to build tilt mounts for these and...
