Awesome, that may explain why the SolarMan app shows me producing power back to the Grid when It has no PV or Battery hooked up, just the input from the main panel powering it =o)
I still have yet to get the firmware updated and get the latest menu settings so I can get this thing commissioned.
I would love to know who those owners are. Unfortunately I just bought one and cannot get any assistance on the unit from the vendor I purchased it from. We all know who that is🙂 but I would love to figure out how to set this up for grid tie and self-consumption
Anyone hooked that unit up for Grid Tie? I have one (have not installed it) and wanted to see if I could wire it for self consumption, selling power back to the grid when I am not using it for loads, then charging the battery as needed.
ok finally finished it !
2.4K of Solar, 460Ah LifePo4 Battery Pack (actually 2 of 230ah packs), 6.5K Low Frequency Inverter producing 240VAC Split Phase at 25 amps or 120VAC at 50amps.
when using the R8KL1NA 48V as a grid tie solution, is there anyway you can (even if manual) configure the until to use Battery when the Utility Grid goes down?
I realize you would need a transfer switch or the equivalent to isolate the utility grid so you don't back feed to the grid.
Ill post the pictures here as I go, I have a bunch of LifePo4 EVE cells I have to make a massive battery pack with (tested that for 1 year with 2 3kw Growatt inverters and 8 panels), so I think the trailer (welding/fabricating) is the biggest challenge.
I am going to make one of the sides on...
Since the VOC on the panels is 85v so to optimize the panels (shading) I will be wiring each string in parallel. This increases the current but keps the voltage the same, likewise the min input on the Growatt is 150v
