well now that I know that I can use solar and DC to DC Charger my next question is this.
I have a SOK 206amp Hr battery. And my Nissan truck has a 130 amp alt.
would I need a 20 amp charger or a 40 amp. Needles to say I don’t want to damage the trucks alt.
I have a 400w solar set up that charges a 206ah SOK battery. Every thing works just fine.

Well folks everything was put together the way it should be. Took another look at everything thinking my 69 year old brain was going. And low and behold saw that the fuse that bolts onto the battery post was at an angle. Fixed that hooked it all up and now am charging the battery all be it slow...
