Only one side of the lug touches the terminal directly, so if the bolt and nut have good conductivity would it not increase the surface area for current flow?
Is it possible to charge a 16S LifePo4 pack (with a JK BMS) with a charger rated at 54.75V? It is sold as a 15S 10Amp charger.
I don't mind under charging the battery as long as it can achieve an 80%+ SoC. Will this damage the cells or the charger?
I need to pay separately for the JBD app? They have their app listed on the downloads page - https://jiabaidabms.com/pages/download-files Do they offer some premium version of it?
If an inverter draws current from the battery while it is charging, does it affect the charger in any way? Say a 20A charger is charging a 12V battery and the inverter draws 50A. Is the load spread across the charger and the battery? Can an inverter damage the charger by drawing current out of it?
I want to replace the bolts and nuts on my Lead acid battery terminals. All the local stores sell stainless steel ones and I've read about them having low conductivity. What material would you guys recommend?
I want to make a wooden box to house 8 * 100AH LiFePo4 cells. Each cell weighs ~2.2KG and their dimensions are 220mm(W) x 118mm(H) x 41mm(D).
I would like some suggestions on the following from people who've already done this.
- Which type of wood is best for this and how thick should it be...
Both EEL and Seplos sell 48v battery boxes that stack cells by their sides in two columns with 8 cells in each column. Is it OK to stack batteries like this especially since the last ones bear the whole weight?
@Rednecktek @Quattrohead Thanks for sharing your experience. Between DALY and JBD which BMS is better? I could get another brand but I'd have to import them. DALY and JBD are easily available in my country.
I'm shopping around for 100Ah LiFePo4 cells and a vendor offered me both these brands (EVE and SVolt) for the same price. I've seen a lot of people discuss and use EVE but not many SVolt. Please share your experiences and which one would you choose.
EVE's datasheet talks about cell compression at 300kgf for achieving the best life cycle but other cell manufacturers don't mention anything about it. Does that mean other cells can last long without any compression?
I have the JK-B2A24S20P BMS. I run a custom ROM on my mobile and don't have Play store installed. From where can I download the latest English BMS app without any malware embedded to it?
Scanning the QR code takes me to http://qr17.cn/BApbC0 and the downloaded file has a Chinese name...
