I have spent 30 minutes looking and I cannot find the final product. I do have one that needs fixing, a new bottom tank and the top tank was taken off to get it in the box truck. It is at our old BarrelSuperstore location. If you are near Greenville SC you can have it. We now have our...
I thought I would elaborate since I know your pain too well! Not only that you have interest, advertising, fees for online sales, payroll up 70%, equipment costs, power, insurance that has doubled (600 to 1300 a month per truck), rent in our area has more than doubled. For example one of our...
Many vendors raised their existing stock prices for additional profits at this time on existing inventory. While this is common when things cost more it doesn't make it right to price gouge your customer. I will remember the ones that tried this on me. So the best thing that could happen...
I think when it is all said and done you should just build what you want! You guys know all the good and bad BMS boards. You are spending more time troubleshooting batteries than the quality engineers do for the manufacturer! I can sense the frustration and blood pressure spikes! There is a...
I have 16 LiTime batteries with no regrets. I have fully discharged them hundreds of times and they come right back. I use both the 12 and 24v batteries without Bluetooth or heaters. I use a victron temp sensor and just stick it to one battery and my mppt senses the temp and will not charge...
I really like their batteries. Never had an issue and I was cycling them every 20 hours during Helene, and they bounced back with no issue. I communicate with Elaine at LiTime periodically and she is open to any suggestions. They like to know how we use their products and the types of loads...
Thanks for putting so much time and effort into reviewing and finding issues with the E-W rackmount 48v battery. I was going to order at least 8. I have 4 on order to try. After your research, I sent a cancellation notice to them this morning. Doesn't sound like something I should count on...
Well, I liked the cabinet until I found out they use steel backed brass buss bars. Brass is only about 25-percent as conductive as copper. I would replace them with copper. Maybe this will happen with updated versions of this cabinet. I try to remove resistance and improve heat dissipation...
I put grub screws in and torque a nut instead of using the provided screws. You could run a piece of wood down the length of the assembled battery next to the posts. Someone could hold it while you torque the bus bars. I used a 1x4 on the top to hold them before I switched to grubs. I found...
Probably the best thing all of can do with wood outdoors is joist tape. I used it when rebuilding my deck since I double joist so a full hot tube and friends can be safe on it! The butyl tape seals them and around the fasteners screwed into them to prevent water intrusion.
You could always use a portable battery/solar/inverter as a ups and power items connected to the inverter. Just limit the inverter input as low as you can so you can charge batteries at night, etc. and primarily run on battery assist with solar.
Looks like they are out of stock and only got a 2 star rating. I am looking at these for additional batteries.
48V 100Ah LiFePO4 Lithium Battery, CYCCLEVOLT Metal Case 51.2V LiFePO4 Server Rack Battery, Max 5120W Load Power, 3U Chassis,Smart Display, 8000+ Cycles, Perfect for RV, Boat, Solar...
What about using a 4' garage shelving unit or use multiple 48" server racks. I am going to give it a try. My batteries are going in the garage on the wall next to my inverters in the utility room. I don't have enough room for battery storage as it is just a mud room. I don't heat the garage...
I modified and used these for a build. They work great also. Print a terminal cover first then update to fit! Too tight when using ABS or even PETG! I had to up the size for X and Y 1% but the height Z is perfect left at 9mm. I use OrcaSlicer and Creality K1 Max's with no glue and texture...
Hi Bill,
I just ordered 4 of these today. Am I getting the updated batteries or the ones that have these issues with the BMS? I need 16 for a dual Quattro 10k inverter system. I don't want to have issues right from the start. Julian Young. We will always be a young man!
I am jumping to 48v and I have been looking at EG4 and SOK rack mounted batteries since they would be nice next to my racks in the computer room. I saw a great deal on SOK 48/100's today. I am on the fence on ordering 2 quattro 48/10000 120v inverters or a Sol-Ark or a EG4 hybrid, So I would...
Maybe I am reading this wrong, but doesn't it say the mppt working voltage range is 120-385 best nominal is 320v. 8 panels @40v each give you a perfect nominal voltage.
I am looking for some and have been thinking about ordering 4 - EVE 48v Gen 4 with 200ah bms for 300ah cells. I was wondering which ones you bought and did you get what you expected to get.
So I got my hands on a few Military truck alternators. They are C.E. Niehoff with regulator 14 / 28v 450amps. I was thinking about a dual fuel engine to turn the alternator to either charge batteries or feed the inverters. I still have 2-24v multiplus II's. I would think the load would...
On their website. Says they should ship in about 7 days. I had a dozen SOK's on order and they don't know when they will be here. So I cancelled and thought I would give these a try. I can build 2-304ah batteries for the same price as 5 of these but I have to carry these suckers up or down a...
So if you find a deal on a 230v victron multiplus or quattro and set for 60hz you can use the autotransformer to create a few 115v circuits that could only use 28 amps? Not a lot of split phase output but ok for small systems. Has anyone here done that?
Thanks for the info. Seriously with everything powered, I am using 4kw an hour according to my power meter. I have a pretty good electrical background. I have a fluke and a power meter. I have 16-120v items connected to the outlets. So the question for me now is what brand of inverter...
There were some issues with these batteries and I cancelled my order a month ago. They just released an updated version according to the email they sent me a few days ago. I like the dual battery connections on them. Hopefully the bms issues are resolved. There are other threads on here...
I am going to buy 5 or 6 - 48 rack batteries this week or buy 3 - 314ah kits from basengreen. I have two 48/10000/120 quattro's on the way for our test system. So SOK, Jakiper (over priced for now but I like them), EG4 V2, and Ruixu are the top on the pre-built test list for now. The Ruixu...
A VPN is ok, but they don't always work the way we want them to. Many VPN providers sell your data. Yes they can access your so called private tunnel. You have to use a different type of network know as a DPN to hide the fact that you are using a VPN connection. These are decentralized VPN...
So after having a hurricane disrupt everything we are replacing 2 ups systems with something that will last for days not minutes. I have a server rack cabinet that I can mount the inverter/s and batteries in. I need to power 2 laptops, 2 desktops, 4 monitors, printer, internet router...
I have a few 2 cycle engines used in military equipment. They are continuous shaft 7.5 hp 2 cycle air cooled engines that can be bolted together to make up a dual or 4-cylinder engine for light aircraft. I might try 2 of them to see if they can do it. Right now the price is right :)
I just use 12" galvanized u rebar stakes driven into the ground for my IR-30's. I use 1 1/2" wide over the conduit running between them and 3" wide over the base square tubing. Just drive at opposing 25-degree angles and they are hard to get out of the ground! I think I may have to cut some...
