    EG4 6000XP parallel operation with 4 inverters

Nah, nothing too serious for 3p. I currently have a belt grinder I built off some Etsy plans and have dreams about adding a mill and lathe but even with those added its not like I can do 2 things at once.

    EG4 6000XP parallel operation with 4 inverters

I plan to run welders, plasma cutters, a 2 post lift and some 3p equipment powered by VFD's, but you know, I still haven't figured out how to run more than one of them at a time. My welding is bad enough as it is when that's the only thing I'm doing. You're right, I am probably over thinking...

    EG4 6000XP parallel operation with 4 inverters

So if I ran a stack of 4 for the house and a separate stack of 3 for the shop on the same LI battery bank, how would I handle the battery communications? The 6000XP manual doesn't say if the inverter requires the communication connection to the battery, only how to do it. And at this rate, it...

    EG4 6000XP parallel operation with 4 inverters

I think I wasn't maybe clear on the loads. I would have a 200amp panel in the shop and a 200amp panel in the house and both would connect at the 200amp combiner panel in the shed. I'm planning an induction stove, mini splits, elec water heater and dryer (likely heat pump) into the build and I...

    EG4 6000XP parallel operation with 4 inverters

Hmm, I didn’t realize that was a pass through voltage and the inverter only outputs 25 amp continuous. That’s definitely lower than I expected but based on your comments and Tim’s it seems I’d be in pretty good shape copying Wills setup on his 6000xp you tube video.

    EG4 6000XP parallel operation with 4 inverters

I'm looking to buy my off-grid solar system in the next 6-9mo and I now finally feel like I'm in the window of time where there wont likely be a new piece of equipment released that will change the plan so its time to get serious about getting the equipment spec'd out. I have a shed that will...

    Solar, Generators and In-Slab Radiant

I'm actually surprised there isn't more available in the US yet. Maybe because so much of our heating is already forced air that there's little to no market for retrofits. I have my permits in hand and am breaking ground on my shop as soon as the ground dries in the spring. The shop will be...

    Solar, Generators and In-Slab Radiant

do you have one you'd recommend I research more on? Artic heat pumps pop up first on the google searches

    Solar, Generators and In-Slab Radiant

I'm planning radiant heat in the slab, mini splits and a woodstove. Generally the radiant would be the primary heating source.

    Solar, Generators and In-Slab Radiant

I'm starting to plan my off grid system that I intend to purchase next year and am looking for feedback on how I should plan my system for my house radiant floor heat. I have a shed that will house the batteries, inverters and have a generator close by that will feed a shop and house. My goal...

Need help with upgrading an inverter

good point on idle draw. Those MP-II 48/5000's seem like a pretty new product and there's not a ton of availability yet. If my batteries drain below the inverter threshold, will the Victron inverters turn back on automatically once voltage comes back up? I power a few cameras and Starlink and...

Need help with upgrading an inverter

At my camp property I currently have 2kw of panels, a Victron 150/45 charge controller, 2 12v LI batteries (24v system) and a Giandel 3kw 24v inverter. This system has served me well for camping (ok glamping) and working from the property however next year my wife and I are planning to move to...

    Inverter HI voltage cutout

Following up on this: last weekend I hooked each battery up to the SCC and let it charge to full (Float light on on the SCC, 0amps to the battery according to the app). .3V difference between the batteries according to the multimeter. So far I haven't had any high voltage cutouts. Thanks...

    Inverter HI voltage cutout

I assumed but never verified they were the same state of charge. Thanks for the feedback. I'll charge them individually and see if that fixes the issue.

    Inverter HI voltage cutout

I'll have to pull those this weekend. The only setting in the Victron I changed was to select the LI battery option.
