    Battery duration

All - thanks for all the help - and u were all right - the batteries must have not been fully charged. I turned off the inverter and only charged the batteries all day (both solar and line) Performed the same load test this evening and everything went the distance - about 5 hours and still...

    Battery duration

All the comment here are insinuating that I probably did not have a full battery charge if the system only lasted 3h on the batteries. I have 4 200W panels charging the battery. The resting charge from my volt meter was about 13.3v when I started the test. I'm thinking something else is wrong...

    Battery duration

The 38A DC is about what I get on the MPP display I did charge the batteries with Solar only all day (showing 13.5v) So if I have a 38A discharge on a 376Ah system that should be approx 9h - correct??

    Battery duration

My batteries seem to be discharging faster than anticipated: System: MPP LV1012 1000w inverter Load: 400w constant Batteries: 1 12v 206ah SOK & 1 12v 170ah Big Battery in parallel Using the inverter only with this load and fully charged batteries, it runs down from 13.5v to 11.5v in about 3...

Panels in series - how much loss??

After some more experimentation I see it is very load dependent as to what shows up on the MPP panel display. It seems only to display the watts necessary for the current load, or battery charging requirements. Right now my batteries are fully charged and the PV watts show in the 200's. As I...

Panels in series - how much loss??

Yes MPP Solar PIP 1012LV Right now its reading 15A (battery charging current) from the MPP panel 80V from the from the MPP panel 225W from the MPP panel Panels are in series Panel specs: Rich solar Voc = 24.3, Vmp=20.4v, Imp=9.8A, Isc=10.2A

Panels in series - how much loss??

I'm working with an MPP1012 all in one controller with 4 200W panels Each panel individually tests about the same from a watts perspective on the system (130W at time of testing) When I hook two panels in series, I get the increase in Watts as expected (230W at testing) However when I add...

Clearing Error code from MPP 1012LV

I'll keep testing - right now I'm running the system down to see if it will switch to line power once the low battery voltage setting is met. Then switch back to battery in the morning when the sun comes up and charges the battery back up a bit. In my case I have it set to 11.5v, so I have a...

Clearing Error code from MPP 1012LV

I disconnected everything again for 10 min and after re-connecting the error seems to be gone. Still not happy about the units in-ability to respond to an overload and switch to line input power

Clearing Error code from MPP 1012LV

Did both - my setting for the Auto Restart on overload is setting 06 which I have set to Enable Also have setting 23 overload bypass set to enable as well My testing was to see if the unit would revert to line mode on an overload such that I would never loose power to those appliances in an...

Clearing Error code from MPP 1012LV

I was testing my new MPP all in one 1012LV controller to see if the overload function would work. I assumed that from setting 23 (overload bypass) that if I enabled that, and put the unit into an overload situation it would switch to "utility" mode (provided the unit is plugged in) and carry on...

    Overpowering system

I recently built Will's suggested MPP 1012LS system using the 12V box, 600W of panels, and a 206Ah SOK battery. I can successfully run many items but my gas dryer seems to be a problem just trying to get the motor to kick on. I get an error code 6 every time , and the box goes into error mode...
