Thanks fellas. No I don't have a clamp on amp meter unfortunately.
I can't do it now, but I'll hook the charger up again and let it sit for another 24+ hours or so and see what happens.
The battery is actually in the back of my 4x4. I hooked it all back up again this afternoon. I have a Renogy...
I did purchase this charger before lithium batteries were as widely available as they are now, so it wouldn't surprise me if it may be lacking some technology.
Do you think it may be a case of that's all the charger is going to do for my battery?
Hello.
I have a 210Ah 12v lifepo4 battery that I've been charging with a Noco Genius G7200 charger.
It's been charging for at least 30 hours and isn't going past the 75% indicator.
Is this normal, should it take this long?
Is the charger not the correct type? (images below)
Could the...
Thank you MichaelK. That 18v I can't remember if it's Vmp or Voc, but I can easily measure it this weekend with my multimeter and I can work it all out then.
But either way it looks like I'm OK to put that second blanket in series.
Thank you for your help.
Hello.
Just looking for confirmation on my assumptions below.
I have a Renogy 40A Rover Elite MPPT controller.
I currently hook a single 160W solar blanket up to it, but now I need a bit more charging power, so I'm looking at getting a second blanket.
My current blanket outputs around 18v...
I purchased a PZEM 051 meter such as this:
It's not bad, but it only seems to show me how much power has been consumed.
I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a power meter that displays power remaining. I only want to spend around $20 - $30 if possible.
Thanks.
Thanks for all the info.
Here are some specs from the web site:
Voltage at Pmax (Vmp)
18.2A
Current at Pmax (Imp)
13.74A
Open-Circuit Voltage (Voc)
22.3V
Short-Circuit Current (Isc)
14.62A
But what I'm wondering about is, do those marks indicate physical damage to the cells...
Wondering if anyone can tell me whether these marks on some panels I have indicate damage or anything else???
The above looks like crush damage.
and this one looks like it indicates where something is wrong, broken faulty????
This panel only had these 2 marks.
Thanks for any help.
Thank you both.
So from the diagram, PV B is actually 2 panels I was going to connect in series and PV A is a solar blanket I want to use if I need additional solar for recharging (this is in my RV).
So if I reconfigure PV B to 2 panels in parallel giving me 20V at 40A, I should be OK to add...
