    AIMS AC-DC Converter Battery Chargers

thank you for your thoughts. to quote Mark Twain "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." We get a lot of high and low fog. The sun may come out in the afternoon, plus now we have several days of smoke.

    AIMS AC-DC Converter Battery Chargers

with grid power, the description says I can recharge a lithium battery to 90% in an hour. I don't get many hours of sun. I want to use an AIM charger with a solar setup, to charge in an hour, but don't know how many panels of 400 watts I would need. I live near San Francisco, CA, we're expecting...

Central AC use at night in hot / humid climates

what about combining a micro wind turbine? I know it might look hideous, but I've seen some 5ft wide and can do estimated 1600 watts for $1,100 as a complete kit.

Am I understanding by battery charger correctly? It uses "Input 120VAC 0.6A continuous, 3A Intermittent", but outputs 10 amps. Isn't that like a 1:10 ratio?

Yes, reading correctly. I have a 2 tier rate. after 218 kWh the rate jumps to $.32+.

are my calculations accurate to minimize my electric bill using battery and inverter no solar panel

I don't get enough sunlight in my area, so I would use solar only in an emergency. I live near San Francisco, CA. My energy company, PG&E charges $.28 kWh off peak and $.32-$.42 on-peak hours. My electric bill is usually $200 a month with 90% at higher $.32 kWh. I want to use my 12v, 105 ah lead...

    Building my first solar system!

Why not use a All-In-One charge controller? Like the MPPSolar.
