    MPP Solar LV2424 kicks butt!!!

From what I've found, Mpp uses a scale of 22v=0%, 29v=100% and its not changeable, and is for all battery types, user defined is what is to be used for Lifepo4.

MPP LV2424 not charging from utility, but will bypass

1,3,5, are every thing on, and grid voltage seems to pass through to output, 2 is with grid off and inverters are producing, 4 is with solar panels off and inverters are producing. and 5 shows the mppt's of the inverters coming back on line. If the solar is removed to a separate controller...

MPP LV2424 not charging from utility, but will bypass

I have found some strange stuff too with the LV 2424's. As long as they are tied into solar, and the grid I believe they act as a UPS, and only maintain a a float. The only way I got them to start and stop charge was to tie my solar into a separate charge controller. I know have 5, 4 are split...

    Solar Assistant - data logger

I had noticed in several of his videos a separate charge controller, when I was having problems with trying to get theses to run on inverter output only. So I tried and have found that as long as there is a solar input they act as a UPS would. 1,3,5, are every thing on, and grid voltage seems...

    Solar Assistant - data logger

SOLAR ASSSISTANT IS AWSOME!!! It is a great tool, if it wasn't for this program I don't think I would of ever of seen this problem with the MPP software. This is with #2 inverter on. This with #2 inverter being turned off and with a test to make sure settings were registering and staying...

    Solar Assistant - data logger

Been all over that spreadsheet, but I think I found the problem, and am under test now. I was reviewing the inverters in the mpp program and found 3 inverters were sensing the battery's at 100% and 1 was sensing battery's at 64%. So i turned that unit off and will see what happens.

    Solar Assistant - data logger

What I believe i was seeing, is that power was going from the grid continually to keep the battery's in a float which was set to 27.3v. My lifepo4 never go there and in a relaxed state they might hit 26.4v on a average. My next try I'm going to set the Float at 26v and see what happens. In a...

    Solar Assistant - data logger

Crazy, Been running in battery mode for a couple of days, brought battery's up to charge on their own switched this morning to solar, with the float down to the lowest, solar was reading volts no watts, turned the float back up to 27.3v the solar started recording. ???? This time the Solar Power...

    Solar Assistant - data logger

I still haven't heard from my battery manufacturer but to my understanding BattleBorn says turn float off or low enough to turn the grid off, Lifepo4 don't self discharge. This in re the battery, I don't know how the MPP will react, but I will give it a try this weekend when I'm home.

    Solar Assistant - data logger

I have had a weird one going for a while and haven't figured it out. Are you familiar with these Hybrid's. No matter what settings I try I have not been able to keep the Grid from coming on. I'm starting to think that I miss understood the operation of theses Hybrids and got the wrong thing...

    Solar Assistant - data logger

Nice, I thought their was something else I haven't found. Early this morning I turned off the Hybrid mode, Ill see tomorrow what that accomplishes. Since I'm running in split phase, I have noticed a difference in what the Solar Assistant see's, I should have available 2.4k per leg, I split legs...

    Solar Assistant - data logger

The morning of the 12th I changed to your settings in the Mpp, the morning of the 13th I deactivated the maintain battery state of charge in the Solar Assistant trying to get a more constant solar to go somewhere. I've been seeing in my power wall that the Mpp has been keeping them in a float...

    Solar Assistant - data logger

I'm really liking it to, just playing with setting to learn what each has for an effect. Still haven't got the grid all the way off yet, one setting a day to see what happens. Your settings got me started this year, ran solarwatch last year.

Have you started to get the hang of this yet, and what the MPP setting do?

    Home UPS +

I have also put together a battery tester out of a Victron Smartshunt, and picked up another to put on the main supplying the LV2424's permanently.
