    Fuses / disconnects / breakers for 2 LV6548 system

Little tip on the rack, typically you'll bring the red wire in on the left bust bar, at the top, and the black to the bottom of the right bus bar. Problem is, the bigger screws on both bus bars are at the top, unless you take one out and flip it over. [the ground / right side] Otherwise you get...

MPP LV6548 - mount on basement wall directly or hardie backer board

One tip, I installed mine in a shipping container, so rather than drill a bunch of holes through the steel, I attached hardie board to plywood, and measured, drilled, and inserted bolts from the back, with one nut holding them, but long enough so after you mount the plywood, all you have to do...

    MPP LV6548 Ground/Neutral Safety?

I think this is the real fix, whenever you have more than one inverter, remove the bonding screw from all but one. But I'd want assurance from MPP / vendor that this won't void the warranty.

    MPP LV6548 Ground/Neutral Safety?

Got it. My setup mirrors Will's original Lv6548 240v video, and he has since moved on from the "floating ground" idea. So run earth grounds to the input side of both inverters, then wire the output per the diagram in #60.

    MPP LV6548 Ground/Neutral Safety?

Timing is everything... Just so happens I have enough panels in place as of today to test this... Two LV 6548's, off-grid, wired for split phase 240. Everything is mounted and wired but hasn't been powered up yet. EG4-LL's in place too. Everything is in a shipping container [pics tomorrow] and...

is 5 more years extended warranty on lifepo4 worth the $250 cost?

Funny you asked this...I pondered for awhile as to WHY the almost-the-same battery cost $250 more, [from 1500 to 1750] a 16% increase, but double your warranty, a 100 % increase. Yes, first of all it depends on how you feel about warranties, but it seems to me the differences in the batteries...

So I bought $1,492 LifePo4 Batteries for the RV, Now what?

well...you might be able to modify the iota, but my results were not good. Seemed to work for a few days and appeared to kill the converter. I bought a 60 amp Progressive Dynamics that's made for LifePO. To be fair, I'm still undoing some other wiring quirks so maybe you'd have better luck. Only...

Don't read this, you'll be jealous...

I agree, but that's what NV energy quoted me. I submitted the paperwork to them, [still in the "design" phase] so we'll see. However, after some consideration, even if the total price were the same, say 25k, I'd still rather do solar than pay for the privilege of an electric bill.

Don't read this, you'll be jealous...

That's a real possibility...much of the property is sloped, I mean *really* sloped, so I'd love to take advantage of that.

Don't read this, you'll be jealous...

Hi - I recently escaped California and bought 40 acres of "sage farm" in NV. It's just dirt, no house, no water, no power. Living in a trailer, which has 4 6v golf cart batteries and a generator. We do plan on building, but that may be 5 years out. There are power lines nearby, but NVenergy is...
