I think it depends on the output of the automotive charger. My cheap Lithium charger is rated for 60ah or 80ah batteries. But it works on my 100ah batteries when I am in a jam.

I just dealt with a situation like this. Search "Mighty Max" in this forum and read those posts. I don't recommend it.... I'm sure its not the approved method. But, it did get me past the BMS shutoff. So, i could start charging the batteries with the appropriate Lithium Charger.

AGM batteries are great for cold climates, and very durable. Keep in mind that you can really only use about 50% of it. so, think of your 120ah AGM as really a 60ah battery. I keep an old 80ah AGM in my storage unit for emergencies (really only good for 40ah) Cant run much more than led lights...

Guys, I am new to solar and DYI batteries. I am just curious why there is not a manufacturer in the USA? Is it lack of raw materials? Patented technologies? From all of the interest, and activity in this forum. It is certainly not lack of interest... Any thoughts?
