    How to predict Cycle life

Actually I started quering the forum on test results and the first 3 hits where grade A cells not reaching their specs ;-).

    How to predict Cycle life

But the funny thing is all people testing them confirm they do have the capacity ;-). I have never seen anyone saying his grade B cells don't match. So capacity probable is not the main factor. I would rather think it is more related to higher internal resistance (which could also result in...

    How to predict Cycle life

I would disagree that cycles are bad defined; at least each supplier will define a specific cycle their batteries will support x-times before reaching 80% (or whatever value)... so that is well defined. But indeed; how this specified cycle translate into actual use and 'real' life cycles is...

    How to predict Cycle life

The specs of the (lifepo4-cells-) manufacturers who only talk about cycles. Or do you have a reference of aging specs based on time?

    How to predict Cycle life

Note; the question also as I want to build a solution that next to store energy from solar panels, i want a battery system that can make use of a dynamic tarrif; this could mean going to 300+ cycles per year versus only 100 when only using solar energy to be stored in the batteries.

    How to predict Cycle life

Do you have a reference to one of these plenty times? I think we should rather speak of cycles rather then years.

    How to predict Cycle life

In my case, looking for the 280Ah EVE cells; but I don't think anyone has experience with these cells over 10 years or like 5.000+ cycles. So it is a wild guess if EVE can hold to its promises. Or worse how EVE resellers "grade B" batteries will do.

    How to predict Cycle life

For a given cell, is there any way one can predict the cycle life? I see manufacturers state numbers like 3.000 or 6.000 or whatever... But is there a test one can do to predict this number? The question also relates to the meaning of grade B; we all test the capacity of cells and are happy if...

DIY Battery via Smart shunt to inverter integration (Solis etc)

I guess I just wanted to understand if the inverter can recover from such an error when the inverter later wants to take energy from the battery or if it needs manual intervention. But that is maybe something I need to check from a manual ;-). Or also; I have to check what it means from the...

DIY Battery via Smart shunt to inverter integration (Solis etc)

Is that an issue? Or should I read; if the BMS disables the charging the inverter also stops discharging?

Simplefied BMS that integrates with chargers/investers?

I now realize I didnt understand your feedback; and also upon reading it again I don't understand it ;-). Where did you see the conflict in requirements?

Simplefied BMS that integrates with chargers/investers?

Actually here is the solution to my question, with the Victron shunt, but without the Victro lock-in; https://diysolarforum.com/threads/diy-battery-via-smart-shunt-to-inverter-integration-solis-etc.44750/

    problem solis rai-3k-48es-5g

Hello, Did you find a solution? Or differently put; why do you think the JKBMS could work with that inverter/charger? Unless you work with a JLBMS protocol-Solis protocol adapter, these can not work together. A solution could be to have the battery identified on the inverter as a lead battery.

Connecting 48v battery to High Voltage HV hybrid inverter

For reference 3 phase 48V hybrid inverters: - https://www.sunsynk.org/3-phase-hybrid-inverter - https://www.deyeinverter.com/product/hybrid-inverter-1/sun5-6-8-10-12ksg04lp3.html and also SolarEdge - StorEdge has a 3 Phase hybrid Inverter (it is a relieve to read these last guys documents ;-))...

Connecting 48v battery to High Voltage HV hybrid inverter

when building such a battery, you need to be sure to have identical cells, identical packs. In the example video using Batrium, I assume the Batrium Balancing is used; and as this solution is all integrated I assume it could ballance all cells to the same level. And thus balancing the...
