Watch out for fraudulent LIFEPO4 200AH "NEW A-GRADE" CALB cells

Well this fact actually counteract the argument. The issue raised is if the cells expand when they then come down in normal pressure closer to sealevel.

Watch out for fraudulent LIFEPO4 200AH "NEW A-GRADE" CALB cells

Well, then they should all be swollen, which they are not. Only misused cells tend to get swollen. However the Alu prismatic cells can expand a little during charging, and should in any case have a 1-2mm isolating thermal transfer foil between each cell, especially when connected in series, as...

Proof! 310AH and 320AH Cells being sold on Alibaba, AliExpress, Amazon and Ebay are not what they say.

With cells not having same internal resistance and capacity, you will need active ballancing, BMS on its own will not suffice. Br WatchOut

Proof! 310AH and 320AH Cells being sold on Alibaba, AliExpress, Amazon and Ebay are not what they say.

You can add OYE and PWOD at AliExpress to the list of hardcore liars, deniers and cheats. They claim A-Grade brand new CALB 200Ah cells, which first of all has not been produced for the last two years now, but moreover comes with capacities between 146 to 174Ah maximum (tested at only 0.1C...

Proof! 310AH and 320AH Cells being sold on Alibaba, AliExpress, Amazon and Ebay are not what they say.

This is not correct. A 20% capacity reduction of specced capacity is actually equal to a fully used (+10yo) or highly abused battery. But capacity difference of 1 to 3% more capacity than specced is normal from serious vendors of A-Grade cells.

Watch out for fraudulent LIFEPO4 200AH "NEW A-GRADE" CALB cells

Yes, it's a problem that AliExpress has not taken this issue sufficiently serious, or not understood or been willing to understand the depth of these fraudulent offerings !?! However one would expect by now, that the cells they send out nowadays, would be of more recent production dates, like...

    AliExpress: Beware OYE Store!

That actually sounds like a good idea, in particular if you highlight their correct production codes together with the falsehood paperstickers, to give more attention to this scam. By the way where are you from ?

    AliExpress: Beware OYE Store!

    AliExpress: Beware OYE Store!

You will probably find that the really bad one has a QR-code in the P6nn... range. I would expect there will be a couple like that ranging from 149 to 154 Ah, and then a lot between 160-168 Ah. If you are lucky perhaps there is one or two above 170Ah.

    AliExpress: Beware OYE Store!

What you don't get, is that we are talking 15 bad cells out of 16 cells !

How much life is really left in these used cells??

Yes, you made good on that deal actually, and wasn't taken off guard that the cells would be new. I have identified several sellers on all platforms promoting do called "NEW GRADE-A 200Ah CALB" LiFePo4 cells, using almost if not totally identical marketing material, same rhetorics, same denials...
