  • Post in thread: Great deals on Power Stations.

I have been watching 3k watt and 3k battery power stations and the Oupes and Pecron are running around 1300, the Blue etti , Jackery are running about 1600 and the eco flow delta pro is running around 1900, and there maybe better deals tomorrow or flash sales The other pieces I didn't see in...
  • Post in thread: Living in 30amp rv

I am doing that but at the house planning ahead for when I get to travel and go full time, I have a watchdog surge protector that tracks wattage for me, probably should make notes on usage, using screen shots for know

That is part of the plan, taking things in steps, gonna get the eco worthy solar tracker and hook it up with 1200 watts of solar and if that works will mount to the roof, if it is not enough will look at building a roof rack for home panels and connect the tracker into the house , once usage...
  • Post in thread: Living in 30amp rv

So you went from using 8kw a day to DC only? No inverter or AC at this time?
  • Post in thread: Living in 30amp rv

OK for those mounting panels on the roof are they flat mounted or do you have a way to elivate them when needed? IF you can elevate did you build a mount or buy one? Any pics or links would be appreciated. Based on dimensions on my roof I will either have to build a roof rack to use larger...
  • Post in thread: What panels and how many you using on your Eco-Worthy Tracker?

Did anyone that has the solar tracker buy the power box eco worthy lists as an option, wondering if that is a battery or another control box
  • Post in thread: Great deals on Power Stations.

I have registered as well leaning toward the pekrone3600, as it is cheapest and recently updated with good reviews but a good flash sale could sway me
  • Post in thread: Living in 30amp rv

So the heater may be a problem, how much solar does everyone have, how much power are they using a day, does the solar keep you topped off, what inverter, scc are people using Thanks William
  • Post in thread: Ecoworthy 195W Bifacial & Non-Bifacial Solar Panels $104/$96 shipped

They are not the greatest deal, but a good one if you don't have a roof rack to incorporate larger panels, I recently saw a roof rack on a class A on here and looking into aluminum unistut and post bases to build a similar rack, then would still have to source panels and not being close to...
  • Post in thread: Living in 30amp rv

I wasn't planning on trying to put the whole solar tracker up there, but rather use aluminum strut and the tilt brackets
  • Post in thread: 48V Class A Solar Progress

Are those JJN mounts basically aluminum angle with thumb screws? What are you using for feet under the uni strut? I have seen setups that use the short side and have the long side going front to back, but I think I like this way better, you find panels that are almost as long as your rv is wide
  • Post in thread: Living in 30amp rv

Yes it does, the eco worthy mounts are basically made with aluminum angle but with holes so you can adjust the angle, thanks for the link I will check them out but also ask my boss where we get aluminum from as I work in a small machine shop and they shop around prices quiet a bit. I saw some...
  • Post in thread: Brands of Solar generators

What brands do you recommend for solar generators and what ones to stay away from? I have a 30 amp travel trailer and been going back and forth weather to put inverter and batteries and everything thing else or just get a solar generator to run a/c and microwave and tv and plugs when needed
  • Post in thread: Living in 30amp rv

So i got shore power hooked up to do a semi energy audit and in 4 days with heater set to 74 and 2 led light strands on and what ever else turns on it used 9.3KW about 2.4 per day I do have one 200w solar panel but the controller says no input over last 3 days, it has been rainy Does it...
  • Post in thread: Living in 30amp rv

I had been looking at the solar generators also, and still could do the diy solar generator, I am hoping to put enough solar to last 2 or 3 days, any idea on your usage over that 18 hour span?
  • Post in thread: Great deals on Power Stations.

I plan on doing something similar with it but to also give me a inverter in my camper, still haven't decided between the pekron and a couple others, once I put it in will use one of the solar inputs to hook a 12v battery for additional storage will use generator and truck to recharge it might...
  • Post in thread: 375w panels new $65 @ SANTAN

That is a good deal, too bad i only need a few
  • Post in thread: Living in 30amp rv

I am hoping to chat with others that live in thier 30 amp travel trailer full time and use little or no shore or generator power. I want to learn from the good and bad of your systems, how much solar you have, how big of a battery bank? Is it worth going to 24 or 48 with a 12 v system and 12...
  • Post in thread: Great deals on Power Stations.

Thank you for the heads up on customer service, how was the Jackery customer service?
  • Post in thread: Long run (1400ft) Fiber Optic Cable vs Starlink Internet?

One other thing you have to find out is what is the service installation cost as most companies won't let you touch thier main lines and will want to use thier cable so they know the quality of the cable, they will gladly let you dig the ditch but that is about it unless you work for them either...
  • Post in thread: Living in 30amp rv

So what are some quality 3k inverter the victron I am looking at is about 1100, I have done some searches and a lot of what I am finding are off brands or over the cost of Victron
  • Post in thread: Living in 30amp rv

Thank you that is what I am looking for, so you run everything you want with 1500 watts of solar and only have to charge 1 hour in morning and evening in the fall? I am guessing you use all victron equipment?
  • Post in thread: Great deals on Power Stations.

I have noticed a good jump when you go from a 2k inverter to 3k.
  • Post in thread: Living in 30amp rv

Yeah even leaving the ac on full time in don't believe i went over 20kw with the basics on no heat or air I got as low as 1.5 kw in a 24 hour period, Debating on pulling the trigger on the eco worthy solar tracker with 1200w of solar to see if that meets my needs and if it does i can figure out...
  • Post in thread: Ecoworthy 195W Bifacial & Non-Bifacial Solar Panels $104/$96 shipped

So is this one of the best deals you have seen on panels this size? As without building a roof rack to go above things 36" is about as wide as i can go and get multiple
  • Post in thread: LiFePO4 batteries in winter.

If your leaving on shore power get a small heater or use the rv heater and set it to 40 heat
  • Post in thread: Living in 30amp rv

I appreciate the replies, I know an energy audit is needed and once I have it hooked up to the house or at least the house 30 amp plug wired up I can get the info off my watchdog surge protector from the 3 day trip to Cooperstown this summer, now that had the AC on a lot so it will be high...
