Yeah this sounds about right. Maybe I need to speak nicely to Roamer if they will sell me a BMS.

Still on the quest for a 250a+ 4s smart BMS (avoiding Daly). I've heard a lot of good reviews of Roamer batteries and while checking them out I noticed that all their batteries over 100ah are capable of 250a discharge and the batteries seem to be 4s too. Looking at the app they use looks like...

It also give you twice the weight and takes up twice the space which are both of a premium in mobile builds. Not disagreeing with the redundancy element though.

Thats a knock off Daly. I'd be even more dubious about one of these than an actually dodgy Daly

Daly is still the only manufacturer I can find that make a 4s BMS over 200a. I have a feeling its something to do with cooling the mosfets ?‍♂️

I did wonder about that but the panel is within spec (just) for the charger with 49.5Voc and the charger has an overvolt protection and error code which says to me there is some head room built in. What also doesn't add up is the weather was overcast and raining on the day the issue occurred...

I run power tools off my inverter. I'll pull 250a with my table saw and shop vac extraction running off it.

No No temp sensor on mine. The 300a wasn't available smart when I bought mine so annoyingly I had to setup my own temperature controlled relay as a low temp cut off.
