Programable Smart Load for Ac and Water Heater

I have Solar Assistant on my phone too, this helps me determine: The loads on the inverters and what SOC currently is and if we will hit full or close to full SOC before the end of the day. If it warm enough to run the AC, we don't need to run the dryer. If the heat pump mini splits are...

Any news on THE ONE? Is it the one for me?

If you don't have a Victron Smart Shunt already, you will want to purchase and install one and plug it into Solar Assistant. The emulated BMS setting in Solar Assistant that computes SOC is not accurate.

    207kWh System... In 12V??? 😬

HB600 would be slight overkill for this application. MT Solar mounts are designed for rated wind for the area, here it is 105 mph.

    207kWh System... In 12V??? 😬

The beams on my current MT Solar mount with 16 530W panels is 4x6 with 3/16" flange and beam and is referred to as SD, Standard Duty. The array is 34 feet long, panels are mounted landscape in a 4x4 pattern. The larger used arrays have 4x8 with 3/16" thickness. Those are referred to as HD...

    207kWh System... In 12V??? 😬

Exactly. I don't have to do that with my system. I must be doing it wrong?

    Let's fight about aluminum wire!

That is a parallel flow condenser. It is used in automotive applications because it is cheap to manufacture and can have a higher heat exchange in a smaller package due to the micro passages. I've installed hundreds in retrofit situations where the original copper tube and fin could not...

    207kWh System... In 12V??? 😬

You still have to break it down, charge each battery and put it back together. Not my thing........ This is nothing more than marketing.

    Let's fight about aluminum wire!

I've been on many jobs to replace an aluminum tube and fin evaporator with a copper tube and fin. Copper isn't cheap and it isn't for those who don't demand a higher standard. Again, I have replaced many aluminum tube and fin evaporators with copper tube and fin. And copper is more...

    Let's fight about aluminum wire!

Put it together myself. Had to replace the boiler a year ago on New Years weekend. Of course everything was backwards for hookups.

What do you think? Start right here.

    Let's fight about aluminum wire!

As I once said in one of my videos, "Some people buy $8 coffee's and some buy copper". Entrance cable, I might use aluminum. Anything else is copper. Even the plumbing in my house and shop are copper. The airlines in my shop are 1 inch copper. This is the shop heating system, more copper. I...

Programable Smart Load for Ac and Water Heater

I do it manually thru my phone. The hybrid heat pump water heater has an app and the mini splits do too. I also have some Shelly smart plugs I can turn on/off using my phone. All of these apps have programming so they can automatically turn/off or adjust the settings. During colder months, the...

    207kWh System... In 12V??? 😬

Think of the time required to pull batteries once or twice a year and charge them up individually as BB recommends to prevent the runaway battery problem and keeping the batteries in balance.

    DC water heater.

Mine uses around 3 Kwh per day, if I turn it off at night it uses about 2.5 Kwh. If she does multiple loads of laundry and runs dishwasher like yesterday, it used 5.8 Kwh but it ran all day. It is in my basement. The bonus is it will dehumidify the basement. My basement isn't conditioned or...
