Especially, DO NOT USE Shop910787018 Store on AliExpress For anything battery related.
I was sold 8 420Ah Grade A cells for $1186 and received 8 240Ah cells of which 2 are badly damaged and 1 in missing the bottom insulating cap.
Sold "will receive 20-38 days" as soon as transaction completed. "Please give me time, trade shipping very slow right now. you will have in 75 days".
Waited 75 days with nothing from the seller so I asked for refund. Day 80 batteries show up on my door. Which I find funny because I used to work in the shipping industry and if needed I could have something shipped door to door in 5 days from China. The return cheapest shipping can also be back on their doorstep in 4 days.
What did I receive?
Notice in the two pictures are, first, the end of the test cycle 245Ah and, the second, the battery, like all the rest, have no QR code and the detail decals have been changed to show the battery is supposed to be 420Ah. They didn't even put the altered tags on squarely, nor did they clean all the glue backing off the original covers.
Now in dispute with AliExpress and Paypal.
Paypal says I have to send him back the batteries, at my expense, in order to received a full refund. Cheapest shipping is $434 USD.
AliExpress says work it out with the store to get a partial refund or send them back to get a full refund.
Paypal is looking into his business practices for fraud. Paypal says if they find he is committing fraud to multiple people then those people will have actionable recourse for shipping costs also but it may take up to two years to get enough proof.

Now as for me I will never, AND I MEAN NEVER, use any AliExpress store whether recommended or not. AliExpress has all the documentation and their money back guarantee is "Please work it out with the seller".

There aren't any 420ah blue prismatics, and that specific gravity would be top tier.

What did you expect? Some store called shop12345 is going to sell you a state of the art unique battery for cheaper than the current best prices?

At least you got something usable. I can't get the scene from Napoleon Dynamite where they test the time machine out of my mind now.

Most of my AliExpress videos are created to show people that they get what they pay for on that site. I can't recall how many times I've been ripped off.

I'm still cycling my 310Ah cells without issue though. Bought them for $.17 per Wh, so sometimes you get lucky

AliExpress is a "purchase at your own risk" type deal. I've seen this happen to too many people, but not much you can do about it. Do more research before purchasing, don't purchase a cell that nobody manufactures (Ah capacity), and only purchase from reputable dealers/stores.

Good luck getting anything from China in 4 days right now. Batteries or not. But 2 years ago? No problem. Im currently at 11 weeks for my batteries and they still haven't hit the shore.

280AH seems to be close to the maximum reliable battery capacity in LifeP04 cells.
Why do people keep falling for inflated claims for these batteries ?

I bought 40x rept 280ah cells and 5x daly bms from donguan lightning for 5472 usd shipping included
All cells tested 290ah or more
Even with the five bms and shipping included in the price i paid 0.15 usd/Wh

The cells have worked fine for 6 months now.

You could get good deals from reputable sellers also
Maybe it is harder today than a year ago to get good cells for cheap tho.

Let me share the unboxing with you experts and you'll see that AliExpress is allowing a total rip off scammer like this guy.
This is just the unboxing. You'll see how he tried to alter them to look like something they are not. Sorry but if you say you are selling something then you better do it. To defend them and call me an idiot for doing so perpetuates the problem. This seller and anyone who supports the actions is a part of the problem.
First box with damaged cells and altered tags
second box with missing insulators and altered tags

@JG51Ogg

Is the damp/soaked package leaked battery electrolyte? :O

Anyway, i dont think any sane person would say you did not wronged.

On a sidenote, you cant ship lifepo4 batteries in 5 days. That would be with air and lifepo4 is not allowed... I think ?
China to Europe is always with train and China to Americas is with ship

Michael has offered Air shipping before for cells, but the cost is almost more than the cells themselves.

Your right, I am stupid. 420Ah for a 5.1 Kg lifepo4 cell is better that cells (264 Wh/Kg) used in a Tesla. I trusted aliexpress.com because I have purchased many good items in the past. If you read aliexpress.com "guarantee" it sounds as good as amazon.com. I suspect that the "shop<number>" stores are aliexpress.com very high profit scam stores. When I ask for assurances of many of the
numbered stores, I get a reply that starts with "Dear,".

Most of the xxx#### stores don't actually ship you anything, they promise dhl shipping then once they receive money the shipping company changes to HGYT and a tracking number is provided by 17track.net and fake tracking info is uploaded to it. The result is you receive nothing and must go through a month long dispute after you realize what's happening and hope you get a refund
