I'm trying to set up my Ampinvt 80amp MPPT Controller and I'm struggling with some of the terms/definitions in order to properly complete the set up.
Does anyone know of where I can get a manual that gives me more details?
Examples:
Charge Current Setting... Max Value and set limit value I think in amps
Discharge Limit Voltage... set limit value and Voltage Value
Discharge limitation setting... voltage value and set limit value

If anyone can direct me to a manual/PDF I would greatly appreciate it! CHEERS!!!

I have the prior generation and am working off memory.

Charge current setting is if you want it to deliver less than the rated 80A.

I believe the next two pertain to the load ports. If you're not using the load ports, disregard.

Piggybacking on this thread with a related question - hoping those of you with AMPINVT units have some experience that will help.

I have the 2000W inverter charger (12V/120V). I can set a lithium/custom charge voltage. But I'm not seeing anywhere in the menu to configure absorption, charge current cutoff, etc.

What voltage settings have you all been using to charge LiFePo4 batteries?
Does charging ever stop completely or is this basically a dumb CC/CV power supply?
Is there a float cycle? I can't even tell if there is for the lead acid battery configurations.

Manual is no help at all...thanks for any input you have.

I just received the ampinvt 80 amp cc, and I was able to set a preconfigured lithium profile(specifics unknown) and I was able to set the 'float' voltage. Set it at 13.6, but I was hoping for more precise settings. I'd like to be able to set absorption, too. I'd like to make charging cut off below my bms threshold, but since I don't what the cc is set to, I guess I'll have to observe the system at the top end, and figure out the numbers for myself:/

So I have the 12V 120-3000 also have two 60 amp SCC by another name but the same. The inverter yes like a power supply. You can manually change the current and voltage but that is it. The SCC even on fla just 1 voltage no float no absorb I put them on the shelf and got a growatt.

Addendum: I find that using the li-ion setting limits charging amperage to less than 10amps? It's only when I set to factory defaults and agm settings that I get full power from my array:( Did I get a faulty unit? Does anyone know what the parameters are for the li-ion chemistry setting?

I also noticed that my Ampinvt 80 amp doesn't charge over 40 amps. I have 3120 watts pv array and I have never seen more than 40 amps to the battery. Do you have any more suggestions to get the amps to increase?

Sorry. I returned that unit after just a few days. I live in a yurt. All my gear lives inside with me, and that loud fan was a deal-breaker. It was driving me crazy, turning on and off constantly, and sounding like a loud hair dryer. I can't exactly recall. That was 3 years ago. Anyway, I got a Victron 150/100 smart, and am absolutely satisfied with it. It works flawlessly, and has no moving parts.
