Hello all,
I am in the process of building a 48V 280AH battery pack with the Overkill 48V BMS. I am trying to understand the location of the balance leads and the instructions included are hard to follow. There are two connectors which have a total of 17 leads with 13 white 2 red and 2 black leads. In my research with other BMS manufactures typically one would connect the singe black wire to main battery negative and then the rest of the wires to the remaining cells positive terminals.
What I am getting hung up on with the Overkill BMS is why are there two black and red leads. It doesn't mention anything about this in the user manual and I can not make any sense of it. If anyone has any experience with using the 48v BMS from Overkill and can shine some light on this subject it would be much appericated.
