BMS required??

Hi everyone, I just manually balanced my LifePo4 8 cell battery packs. I would like to install them into my system. I have a BMS on the way….but would it hurt my cells to run them until it gets here?

No but you are the BMS. Check cell voltage now and then especially when charging.

Keep the voltage very narrow to the middle capacity if you plan to do this. I don't recommend it.
One slip and the capacity of one or more cells can permanently degrade quickly.

One weak connection can destroy a cell quickly without a BMS

Start with small loads and monitor it. No big loads unless you are paying attention. Keep it in the middle.
