This is my current setup.

Victron 250/100 MPPT
Victron 48/3000 Inverter
4.8KW Solar
27KWh 48V Eve Cells

I don't use much grid power currently, occasionally to top off batteries in the winter. The system is separate from the main grid and is ran off it own circuit panel. However I want to be able to get the full 35a of charging capabilities from the inverter charger if needed. I'm going to be adding more circuits to the system and I need these to be non interruptible, so if I wear down the batteries too much in a given day the charger can either charge and bypass or assist. I am currently just using a 15a regular outlet and plug.

So to my question, I have a large generator that I want to be able to connect to the inverter if needed to provide the support needed for whatever the circumstance. This has a L14-30P 220V receptacle. I want to be able to unplug a 30a cord from my grid and go to this connection if ever needed. However I am unsure how to go about this correctly. Is there a way I can wire my L14-30P plug for 120V and just use some specific 3 prong that I can also install in my house for the inverter?

Any thoughts or help is appreciated, thanks!

This will split your 120/240 split phase into two separate 120V circuits:

You could then plug the inverter into ONE of the 15A receptacles.

You will be limited to 15A * 120V = 1800W

1800W/56.8V = 31.7A at peak SoC

Set charge limit to 31A.

You could also fabricate your own connection with suitable wires to get 30A out of it.
