Welcome aboard @Tenxi -- You could do some "analysis" first. Check the specifications on your AC unit, or the one you are considering. It might say something like "
Maximum Cooling Wattage656 W

or maybe

Maximum Cooling Amperage6.1 Amps

So, the unit might draw as much as 6 amps. This is at 120-volts AC. Another question might be what the AC draws when it first starts up. This is what @pollenface might be referring to; his system might operate his compressor, but only after it had started. The surge the unit draws at startup exceeded his inverter specs. You have an inverter in your solar generator. Pull your documentation out and see what the solar generator can provide.

Yes you can.....

For my 5000 btu unit----
About 50 minutes on Bluetti EB55
About 2 hours on Oupes 1200w Unit
About 5 Hours on Bluetti EB200

One hose or two? Outside.
One hose portables are far less efficient than two pipe models.
8000 but models can be operated off 2000W, but it's close.

Hi Tenxi. By now you have seen the many attached videos other forum members provided. I posted my results running 2 very different units in this section regarding the Bluetti EB200. It has a chart I copy and pasted on there from the company with estimates on common items. But you also have to factor in things like is the air conditioner energy star rated? What temperature will you keep it? Will you run it in eco mode? How well insulated is the space you want to cool off? Is it in the shade or does it get full sun beating down on it?

Also please consider 1st to do some of your own internet searches. Sift through those videos and forums. Read FAQ section and reviews on the models of portable air conditioners you are interested in. Do some of your own legwork first, take notes and narrow things down. See if something related has already been answered. There are some VERY ACCOMMODATING folks here, but it seems it also is strange how it brings out people who don't even introduce themselves but demand an answer from people giving their time and experience to share knowledge freely. Would we do that in person, face to face in the same room, or has the internet made us less aware of human interaction?
