$10 controller

Hi. Sure. Outback vs Amazon special. Outback definitely looks of higher quality with good metal material which I’d say good materials also used inside.

What type of battery are you using and can you link the specific Amazon special model? I'm interested in a cheap MPPT controller for a small 40Ah 12v lifepo4 battery for a boat house install that I'll use to power DC lights, but I'm worried that they will damage a LifePo4 battery.

I was considering something like this (which has a LifePo4 setting):

But the problem is that in the specs it states that for lifepo4 setting the float voltage: "Default 14.6V - Unadjustable"

That's way too high for lifepo4 cells right?? Too bad it can't be adjusted.

If anyone has a suggestion for a cheapo LifePo4-friendly battery please let me know!

The $10 one will kill your batteries if used 365 days a year.

You can get a 10amp epever 1206AN for fairly cheap but will need an mt50 or usb cable to adjust it
