    LiFePO4 long term storage

I have two 24v 200ah batteries fully charged and connected in parallel. There are no loads connected. For long term storage, should I keep them connected in parallel or should I disconnect them and let them discharge individually?

    6 awg - can I fit 4 wires in 3/4 inch pvc?

Don't try it dry, use lube. Lots of lube and have a helper on the other end. Use mule tape.

Mounting Solar Panels on RV with Curved Roof

Both, though at this point tilting them is more trouble than it's worth. Notice the gap at the red arrow. There is a teflon washer there so the joint moves smoothly with the bolt nice and tight.

Mounting Solar Panels on RV with Curved Roof

I made hinged mounts with aluminum strut channel and angle. Solid channel, 4" long with three .250 holes drilled. Center hole is into aluminum rafter the other two into 3/8 plywood sheathing using #14 sheet metal screws. All hardware is stainless.

Ground mount: Sch 40 pipe vs. mechanical pipe?

There's no comparison between pipe and (round) tubing as far as structural strength. It's pipe all the way. Square tubing is a different story and much cheaper than pipe if you're buying new. But as somebody else said, if you can get your hands on used oil field pipe you can save a lot of money.

    Victron Multiplus 2000 wiring help

I basically did something similar with my 24/3000. My Multiplus ground goes goes to the Lynx Distributor and ends with a frame connection via a busbar. There aren't a heck of a lot of options for grounding in an RV. What the heck are you going to ground anything to if not the frame? Negatives...

    Victron Cerbo GX connectivity question

I'm also wondering, since my laptop is touchscreen and has an HDMI port, can it just plug and play as a Cerbo display? Has anybody tried that?

    Victron Cerbo GX connectivity question

I'm liking Victron Connect via cellphone less and less for various reasons. I communicate with a mulitplus, a smart solar controller, and a smart shunt. I'd like to be able to use my laptop for communication and control instead of having to buy a Cerbo display and plug directly to the Cerbo GX...

Do I need a Cerbo GX?

As far as system monitoring goes, particularly for your application, there's nothing a Cerbo GX can do that Victron Connect won't do for free. Especially with the latest updates showing current status of all your devices together on the start page. Assuming your cell phone or tablet will connect...

Custom Bus Bars From Copper Flat Bar

Not in any worthwhile way nor does it need to be IMHO. If you want truly worthwhile conductive grease you'll have to spring for silver paste.

Custom Bus Bars From Copper Flat Bar

Believe it or not, Mobile 1 grease is the exact same thing GE sells for$50+ for a toothpaste sized tube of corrosion inhibiting grease for high voltage switchgear contacts. We used it on utility substations and power plants.

    Needing long Y connector

I have some of those Bogue Y connectors, they're great. They're 1.5 ft long so you need 1.5 ft extensions to be exactly 3 ft. PM me if you want to make you a pair or stop by if you're ever in Sacramento.

Nuclear power plants don't explode. Sure, radiation can get out but not by means of an EMP producing explosion.

I wouldn't be concerned with zinc poisoning outside in the wind and only tack welding. Especially if somebody else is doing the welding!

Solar panel size vs quantity for mobile applications

I find that 200w panels tend to be the best choice for an RV roof, considering size constraints and weight. And there's a lot more wind load on a 400+W panel so RV construction and mounting systems need to be up to the task. Most RV's and commercial mounting systems ain't.

What am I missing Travel Trailer build

I have that same breaker between my solar charge controller and my Lynx distributor. Obviously it's redundant since I have a 60 amp Mega fuse in the lynx, I just use it as an isolation switch. As for fuses in general, I really like a visual indication of fuse status. That's why I love the Lynx...
