I configured my fans to the lowest setting which seems to only affect the top two fans. They do ramp up when the inverter reaches an internally defined temp.

I've noticed that the settings only apply to the two top fans. The third fan at the bottom seems to run on high most of the time unless the invert temps are really low and there's little to no load, or no PV. This fan is very noticable when theres alot of PV.

I have not registered my inverter. Is there a way to update dongle firmware with local connect?

Yes, I’ve tried two 320 watt panels with one Tigo Optimizer and it works well. They will work better with one optimizer per panel, but the cost will double. If you’re not using for RSD or monitoring, then you can cut costs by using optimizers only on the panels that get shading.

Can you show picture of how you connected the batteries? Did you connect one battery (both terminals to the inverter), then parallel the second battery to the first?

I would cut the connectors off and replace with the common MC4 connectors.

If you have a backup then, reinstall the downloaded file when you first purchased Solar Assistant. It will be the original version from the date you purchased; then you can update sequentially until you’re at the version you need. Lastly, import backup data and you should be good.

What hours do you need battery to be utilized? You need to setup “AC First Start Time” for hours of high rates.

I would go with option 3. It will allow you to bypass solar and revert to grid in the event of system problem. Another advantage would be the ability to adjust circuits based on system capabilities and consumption.

I had one panel bring down my 10s string, but ended running more wire to utilize the second MPPT on my inverter. Now it’s two 5s strings and only the string with the one shaded panel is affected. I purchase one Tigo Optimizer for this panel to test. I’ll report back with results.

The upgrade program will cost you an additional $750 to upgrade. How much additional did the RMA process cost you to upgrade to a 6000xp?

This is my setup, except for the capacity to charge EV. I only have enough PV and battery for the house. I have thought about buying more batteries, but think an EV with V2H can be utilized instead. Some EV manufacturers offering free charging for a year or two so this could be an added benefit.
