Help Required - AliExpress Lifepo4 battery dispute

I took half the money and moved on. Lesson learnt. I now have a roughly 80ah 12v battery to use somewhere.

yep. Feels like an offer I should accept, other than this effectively allows the company in China to make a profit from their fraudulent operation.

Help Required - AliExpress Lifepo4 battery dispute

Been offered half my money back, and I keep the battery, OR all of it back, but I need to return the battery to China. Given half the cost is £126, and it's £86 to send it to China, I'm wondering if I can be bothered to post it back.. for an extra £40.

Lifepo4 battery price to good to be true

I totally agree, but AliExpress seem either unaware that it's fraud, or are culpable in the fraud, as they make it extremely hard to make a claim. I'm unsure what I can present as evidence to convince them.

Lifepo4 battery price to good to be true

Hi, In case Jim visits this thread - I'm going through the same experience, with the exact same battery pack, so any pointers on how to get some money back would be appreciated. https://diysolarforum.com/threads/help-required-aliexpress-lifepo4-battery-dispute.28674/

Help Required - AliExpress Lifepo4 battery dispute

Is there a reference I can use? If I can prove that 13.4kg is IMPOSSIBLE to be 300ah lifepo4 chemistry, I don't need to do a discharge test.

Help Required - AliExpress Lifepo4 battery dispute

The unit does come with a supplied charger, but it's got a Euro plug. What I'm going to do is, I have ordered a Euro to UK plug converter, which is arriving tomorrow. I will then attempt to fully charge to battery with their provided charger - they can't object to that surely. I need to...

The unit seems very well sealed, but it sounds like there's little 'warranty' to invalidate.

Help Required - AliExpress Lifepo4 battery dispute

I think the dimensions / weight of the whole unit might be a way to dispute their 300ah capacity claim... the box (33x21x17cm and 13.4kg seems quite small)

Help Required - AliExpress Lifepo4 battery dispute

I've realised this thread is technically in the wrong sub-forum, as this is not a DIY pack, but a ready built unit - see below: (please if needed, can a Mod / Admin move it to the right place). Thanks. As you can see it was 'charged' on arrival. I topped it up using a lifepo4 charger...

Hi I think I need your help. As discussed in this thread: https://diysolarforum.com/threads/looking-for-272ah-or-280ah-cells.20185/ I purchased a 300ah 12v Lifepo4 battery bank from China via AliExpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002752049532.html? The battery finally turned up...

Looking for 272ah or 280ah cells

Hi I think I need your help. The battery turned up, and I performed a capacity test, and it came out at about 81ah compared to the advertised 300ah. Quite a difference. However, as I'm sure some of you will have anticipated the seller is not accepting this, and AliExpress have not accepted...

Cheapest LiFePo4 batteries on the market

The person who bought one is me... it's now due this month, but i'm not holding up much hope of it: 1. turning up, or 2. Being anywhere near 'as advertised' As I've done some more research and it appears to be impossible for a battery that size and weight to be 12v @ 300ah.... I'll...

Rather then start a new thread - I didn't go ahead with the purchase above, but I've just seen these available: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002752049532.html? PFDD 12.8v Lifepo4 300ah battery with BMS for £327.89 - free shipping. That's ridiculously cheap... too cheap? This...

    Hello from the Sussex, UK

My Brother in law has recently purchased a cheap wind turbine to add to his homemade solar / battery setup, but it's producing poor results. Does anyone have a recommendation of a wind turbine that is worth the money? I have an update on the solar stuff, I'll get the details and report back.

Looking for 272ah or 280ah cells

Anyone tried there ones? they're currently the cheapest 280ah cells I can find that ship to the UK. At £340 for 4 cells, that's under £100 per kwh. I want to buy 16 cells for a home 48v setup, but I don't see many review of these anywhere. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002327020267.html

    Hello from the Sussex, UK

Thanks Jim. that's a very good idea. I was thinking about getting the garage renovated anyway, and maybe adding a pitched roof, which although reducing the available area facing south, would give any tube array a better angle. We do have an unused space behind the garage (there's a greenhouse...

    Hello from the Sussex, UK

It is highly unlikely that we would ever be able to go fully off grid, yes. where I'd like to get to is a place where we can use a mix of free solar (particularly spring to Autumn) plus cheaper off peak electricity via a battery to remove any reliance on peak price electricity. Later I want...
