    Vehicle washer tank miracle

The primary place I find those tanks leaking is at the grommet around the pump on the bottom of the tank.

    Code of Conduct Addition?

I personally do NOT read the posts that are all in caps. I ignore them and read the rest of the posts. As far as I am concerned it is considered the same as yelling at someone. I don't tolerate being yelled at by my wife, boss, or others. If you can't be bothered to have the courtesy of speaking...

My 1st attempt at Solar, How am I doing?

Well, I got to playing with an Arduino, and ended up MAKING a Dual Axis Solar tracker controller, and sensor. I am impressed with the results! Behind the blue lids are the Arduino (Top), and the Relays (Bottom) to control the actuators. This shows the pivot for North/South (Hole drilled...

Integrated RPI/Arduino in your solar system?

This past weekend I installed an Arduino controlled dual axis solar tracker on my system. So far, I am impressed.

    Making a Dual Axis Tracker

I had a single axis tracker set up, and was manually adjusting for the N/S every couple of weeks. I was using another linear actuator that I had here to do it, and got to thinking about designing/building my own dual axis sensor/controller. I am pleased to report that as of sunset yesterday, it...

    Direct to water heating.

@george65 I would love to see a schematic of your set-up if you wouldn't mind.

    What to buy??

Could you take a picture of the label that is on the back of the panels so we can see what it is you are dealing with?

    12v motor or 12v supply?

It sounds to me like you have a 12v brushed motor that is approaching its End Of Life. The brushes break down, and it takes more current for them to work. (Picture the current actually completing through an arc, or spark)

    float mode power diverter

I am looking for a controller that will divert the excess power from my panels, and supply a water heater element ONLY when my batteries reach, and are maintaining a float charge. I don't want one that kicks in at a voltage set to above a certain level as is used in wind/hydro, as I do not want...

    Aili bat monitor

You DO have your SCC negative hooked to the same place that you have your inverter, right? Or, do you have it hooked to the battery directly? For the monitor to know that you are charging the battery, it has to see the charge going in. AND, you did hook it up with the B to the battery, and the P...

My 1st attempt at Solar, How am I doing?

It is Just the wife and I here. Every once in a while, the Grand Daughter comes over, but even she is 21 years old. Besides, the deck is on the other side of the pool from the panels. :)

My 1st attempt at Solar, How am I doing?

Like the title states, this is my 1st foray into Solar power. I plan on adding another tracker for the N/S axis in the future, as well as adding MORE 100ah batteries. But in all, I am pretty proud of the beginnings of my solar system.
