how to wire dual bms lifepo4 packs in parallel

I have a DIY build question. Building a solar generator with 2-280ah lifepo4 packs. Each has its own BMS. I want these to be in parallel. I understand that you hook pack 1 positive to pack 2 then use the positive of pack 1. You do the same for the negative, but the BMSs are my question. Do...

    Batteryhookup.com Lifepo4 4s BMS not working/wiring?

Building my first Lifepo4 pack. I have 4 little 25ah new batteries from batteryhookup.com and their Lifepo4 100ah 4s BMS. (I know the bms is big I won't charge at a high rate) I made 3 buss bars and connected the batteries. I get 13.2v across the pack. Everything seems fine. I hooked up the...

Jag35 48v ammo can doesn't output for long to Bluetti AC200

Update, the battery pack does seem to charge the EcoFlow Delta 1300, but won't charge the Bluetti AC200 well as described. Any thoughts?

Jag35 48v ammo can doesn't output for long to Bluetti AC200

I bought 2 48v ammo can kits that use 18650 batteries from jag35.com after seeing them on the guy's youtube channel. I got kit 1 together, but kit 2 had 3 bad boards and a bad ribbon cable. After a couple of weeks they sent the wrong replacement parts and went silent on me. Finally got to...

How to calculate watt ouput of 18650 pack

You are absolutely right. That had finally clicked in my head just about an hour ago. It is the 700w/12ah limitation of the bluetti. The battery pack delivered 36v @12ah so it was 432w. Makes perfect sense.

How to calculate watt ouput of 18650 pack

OK I'm in total agreement with your calculations and I appreciate it. So a big battery will put out way too many watts to use with the bluetti or most anything. I'd have to connect an inverter and charge with AC from the big battery. On the 10s4p packs...the mystery, is why it put out the...

How to calculate watt ouput of 18650 pack

OK here are the specs. With the AC200 the thought was to plug the xt60 from the battery pack into the solar charging port of the ac200 which can handle 700w Here is the battery I wanted to use: Voltage: 3.7V End of Charge Voltage: 4.2V End of Discharge Voltage: 2.5V Capacity: 4800mAh Nominal...

How to calculate watt ouput of 18650 pack

Hmm ok thanks for the reply. So if I built a 13s20p battery with model 3 21700 cells it would be 48v and 96ah - 4.6kwh. So it would put out 4600 watts when I plugged it into the AC200 Bluetti? (Which the bluetti won't handle). On the Jahu video, he did 3 10s4p packs in parallel for 1.2kwh...

How to calculate watt ouput of 18650 pack

I understand how to calculate v, ah, w, wh, etc on an 18650 battery bank that I build for example. I am stumped on how to calculate the output wattage. I know how much it will store. For example, I am going to make a battery that I can use to charge my Bluetti AC200 when it arrives. This will...

Charging for Tesla Model 3 21700 cell questions

I really appreciate the info. On #3, I was thinking of breaking up the battery into 2 or 3 and building it in pelican cases so it could be moved. I know when I did my 3 battleborns in parallel I took a positive off of 1 end and a negative off of the other for output and charging. Didn't know...

Charging for Tesla Model 3 21700 cell questions

I am thinking of making a big battery pack like 14s14p or so with the model 3 2170 cells. 1. What would the charging and float voltages be for my mppt? I have guessed 58.8 charge and 57 float but want to be sure. I'll be using a Victron 150/45 Smartsolar mppt most likely. I know that a full...

    Complex vehicle system help

I have been watching the youtube videos and loving them. VERY helpful. I am building an overlanding/camping vehicle, and need some help with the rear power system. This is the system that will be the kitchen, power, etc. I have decided to switch from 2 Renogy non-smart lithium 12v 100ah...
