Vehicle Inverter Connected to Transfer Switch

Yes, this is one of the outlets in the PHEV.

Vehicle Inverter Connected to Transfer Switch

I did check the AC outlet, looks good.

Vehicle Inverter Connected to Transfer Switch

The Outlander PHEV manual cautions against using the built-in 1500w PSW inverter with a home "distribution panel". Is there a legitimate concern here or do you think that's just CYA on their part?

    EcoFlow Delta Problems Solar Problems

If you use FaceBook I would ask in the EcoFlow Delta group.

    Balcony Solar Panels

Nothing exact, but as much as possible. I have a few power stations and a couple of 100ah 12v batteries for storage. A tri-fuel generator also, but want the solar generation also. There is room on the balcony for at least 700w of flexible panels, more for rigid. And even more if I decide to use...

    Alrska Solar Panels

Does anybody have experience or know of anyone who has used Alrska panels? They are on Amazon also but no reviews yet. They are a good wattage and size for my use case so I'm considering them.

    Balcony Solar Panels

That was kind of the idea after originally testing these. I would buy a few more flexible panels and add minimal PVC for support. But... I'd rather not build framing if I don't have to, and the flexible panels are not getting the output a rigid panel would. That's pretty relevant in the context...

    Balcony Solar Panels

Completely agree under typical usage. These would only be in place for about 3 hours and taken down, and only when grid is down. The frame would be attached to the balcony railing with something like metal plumbing tape. I could do the same for the side resting against the house if I drill into...

    Balcony Solar Panels

I'm looking for options to temporarily mount panels during grid outages. 3 story townhouse in a set of connected townhouses so I can't use the roof, and no yard for ground mount. The front patio gets about 1.5 hours of direct overhead sunlight. The west-facing balcony gets about 3.5 hours of...

    Ecoflow Delta Pro Set up

This is the cart Tre Nt linked to in his post in the DELTA Series group. Of course @Will Prowse just covered his suggested Delta Pro rack here.

Enphase Sunlight Backup with manual transfer switch

I would guess that it's on the grid side, if it's possible.

Enphase Sunlight Backup with manual transfer switch

Will I be able to continue using my Reliance manual transfer switch if we get Enphase Sunlight Backup? I don’t know if the switch will work with their load controllers.

Eco Flow Lack Of Lifepo4 Across All Power Stations

I don't believe EcoFlow has officially stated their business reasons. If people weren't buying NMC then I guess they would move the whole production line to LiFePO4? They obviously use LifFePO4 for the Delta Pro so they must use it where they think it's appropriate. Possibly a moot point and...

Eco Flow Lack Of Lifepo4 Across All Power Stations

This comes up fairly regularly in the official EcoFlow Facebook groups. My short 2 cents. I don’t need the cycles for my application, grid outages. I’ll never come close to 800 cycles to lose 20% capacity. I would get the Delta Pro if I needed to cycle daily. I prefer the lighter weight of my...

New Battery on Amazon and Ebay - Global Power 12V100AH LIFEPO4 - $399! Has anybody actually bought one yet? Torn it down yet?

@Browneye here is the seller's reply: I'm fine with the battery charging to 13.8 but I don't like that the AC charger keeps shutting off and then turns back on to try and charge. I need to buy a few more and put in series for 24v but I'm not confident in this battery right now.

New Battery on Amazon and Ebay - Global Power 12V100AH LIFEPO4 - $399! Has anybody actually bought one yet? Torn it down yet?

Thanks! Might be too fancy for my use :-) I do have a Giandel inverter but I'm mainly intending on using the batteries to add capacity to my portable power stations in grid outages. So I should be charging very infrequently. And I'd like to charge quickly from a generator at that time. So far...

New Battery on Amazon and Ebay - Global Power 12V100AH LIFEPO4 - $399! Has anybody actually bought one yet? Torn it down yet?

I've been close to getting the AIMS 12/24v charger for a while. Will that help? I haven't seen this with the same charger and my other 12v battery. So the BMS is causing the charger to shut off when it gets to 13.8, and then it starts up again because it's trying to charge to 14.6?

New Battery on Amazon and Ebay - Global Power 12V100AH LIFEPO4 - $399! Has anybody actually bought one yet? Torn it down yet?

Thanks for the help. I did contact them earlier, we'll see what he says. I have a very basic charger, no way to change settings.

New Battery on Amazon and Ebay - Global Power 12V100AH LIFEPO4 - $399! Has anybody actually bought one yet? Torn it down yet?

I just checked mine and it only charges to 13.8. The AC charger keeps cycling and tries to get it to 13.9 but it won't. Should I try and return it?

Home battery backup, with inputs for generator charging and future powering the house off EV as a backup...

That used to be the case. I just checked and the Powerwall is not required for solar roof or panels.

AC300 or Titan - or something else?

EcoFlow seems more on top of their game, I'd go with the Delta Pro personally. I doubt you could get a Titan in any reasonable timeframe.

Connect Alligator Clips to Removable Battery Posts

Thanks! That's exactly what I did earlier today, with a bit of cushion around the pliers to prevent thread damage. I suspect that the thumb/knob will get stuck like that every time you tighten it down. Have you found that to be the case?

Connect Alligator Clips to Removable Battery Posts

I sent the seller a message to see what they say since the charger they sell also uses alligator clips. I'm thinking my best bet is to get screws with hex nuts attached on top like my other battery.

Connect Alligator Clips to Removable Battery Posts

That's the problem, the clips are hardwired on the LiFePO battery charger. There is no room to get a clip on underneath the positive cap/knob.

Connect Alligator Clips to Removable Battery Posts

Gotta be user error here, I haven't had a battery with removable posts before. What's the correct way to put these posts in? The positive post plastic cap is stuck to the screw so there is not enough room to for battery charger clips.

    Refrigerator flickering lights with EcoFlow

Thanks @Bob142. I checked with watt meter on the fridge AC plug yesterday. Voltage was 122 on grid, 119 from Delta mini and transfer switch. Doesn't seem like much difference. Unfortunately in my haste to troubleshoot I plugged the Delta mini into AC charging to see if the EPS/UPS/bypass would...

    Refrigerator flickering lights with EcoFlow

I have a Reliance manual transfer switched used with a generator, Giandel inverter + battery, or AC200P without any issues. I got an EcoFlow Delta mini (x2) and using that source my refrigerator lights are flickering and the power draw seems higher than I see with the other power sources. The...

12v to 48v Converter Wire Gauge

My apologies for the odd use case here. I'm trying to charge a power station via the PV input from a standalone 12V LiFePO battery or the 12V battery in a hybrid vehicle in case of power outage. The power station will take 300W 11–75V DC 10A max. So without the boost converter I can only charge...

12v to 48v Converter Wire Gauge

Would this 24v converter (240w) be safer? If I enter <= 22 amps in the calculator with same settings used for the other converter it recommends AWG 14, which is what this converter has. But if you enter 23 amps it recommends AWG 12.

12v to 48v Converter Wire Gauge

I put the same entries into their app and website, but even with 35 amps and 90ºC insulation it still gives me 12 AWG wire. I had to enter 75ºC insulation to get it to recommend 10 AWG. Am I missing another setting?

12v to 48v Converter Wire Gauge

Far from optimal I know, but it's a cheapish way of extending the runtime. Otherwise I have to use an inverter on the battery to use the power station's AC charger.
