Do we still need T-Class Fuses?

I have a few EG4 batteries and an LV6548 all in one. The batteries come with a built in circuit breaker/fuse and I'm pretty sure I read the LV6548 has built in fuses. They all connect to the same bus bars. Do i need a T Class fuse for each battery too? Do I not need any more fuses? Am I safe or...

EG4 6000EX and power on one of the legs

The EG4 6000EX runs 240 volts on two legs. Does it max out at 3000 on each leg? If I have a sub panel and one leg goes to one side, the other leg to the other side...what happens if one side of the panel (through a few breakers) wants to draw for example 4000 watts?

    40amp or 50amp charge bad for eg4?

I have 6 of the EG4 48v batteries. They never are all at the same battery percentage according to the BMS software. No biggie, they're close enough and work great. I get all the rated power out of them. The issue is that when I charge them up, they don't reach 100% at the same time. One battery...

Touch DC wire without shock? What is safe?

Not that I want to just go out and touch the live DC wire, but I'm curious. It seems if I touch just one of the DC wires it doesn't shock me. I've done this with panels pushing 200 volts. Why does it not shock me? Is there a point where it would shock me? I am looking at getting a second mppt...

LV6548, Washing Machine and Flickering Lights

I have an LV6548 setup with a nice battery bank and have a sub panel with breakers etc etc. A dedicated line runs to the washing machine and dryer, a separate for lights, and so on. When the washer is running, most lights in this system flicker in line with the back and forth movement of the...

    PIP LV2424 PV Fuse Replacement

So the LV2424 has 2 x 40 amp fuses inside for solar input and they are not removeable. I blew them. Yes, I know, my mistake and now I have in line fuses hooked up. The odd thing is that you can't remove these fuses. What is the point of non removeable fuses? They're literally soldered to the...

    Battery charger permanent install question

I have 2 of the eg4 48v batteries hooked up to my lv6548. I want to connect a 10 amp battery charger for occasional use but want to leave it connected to the batteries at all times. I would unplug the charger when not needed and just plug it into utility power when needed. Are there any issues...

LV6548 and Knowing Your Battery Percentage

I have a new LV6548 and 2 EG4 batteries hooked up. The battery percentage is all over the place and is clearly not accurate but the batteries are able to fully charge just fine but the bms is stopping charge. I really want the inverter to stop charge just a little before the BMS. And I want the...

Solar panel wiring and fuse question on 24 panels and an LV6548

So I went with the LV6548. It has 2 mppt inputs both at 4kw. I have 24 panels. My plan is to do a series of 6 panels, then parallel 2 of these together with an mc4 branch connector. I'd do this same setup for each mppt connection. I figure I'd put a 15 amp fuse at the end of each series just...

Help me pick: Growatt vs MPP Solar

I am getting 25 of the 240 watt panels from Santan Solar. I'm also getting 2 of the EV4 5kwh rack batteries. 20 of the panels will be hooked up to this system and the other 5 for a separate system. So for those 20 panels, I believe I can do a 10x2 config or a 5 series and 4 parallels setup...
