Thank you for the advice, I will set it up tomorrow and went to bed because I travel all day and it is 2AM here
By the way, could this be the "problem" that the AC charger trigger one or more cells ?
I hope I did not spent that money for nothing ?
And I try to watch untill the alarm came up but ... I try it again
Look at my setup maybe that explain and you can advice me
I have no problem but I am looking for an explanation.
I have a LFP of 280Ah in combination with a Renogy DCDC 40A and a Renogy AC charger 20A
When I drive with my RV the DCDC booster charge my LFP perfectly, no errors or what ever
When I charge the LFP with the AC charger I always get an alarm...
Just back from the RV and nothing has change since I disconnect the AC-DC charger from Renogy
So problem is solved.
Picture shows the different between sept.27 and today
@FilterGuy
If I understand well then just unpluging the balance cables from the BMS is enough
My intension is to disconnect the main positive and negative from the rest of the system
@upnorthandpersonal , thanks I misunderstand it (y)
@upnorthandpersonal thanks for the notice.
I don´t understand this :
Storing them at low temperatures is certainly much better than storage at high temperatures.
Calendar aging slows down dramatically at low temperatures.
It say it is better to store them at low temperatures and later it say it...
I don´t know any specs because I don´t have them yet, I am orienting what is possible
For my RV I have these but for my vacationhouse I think about 300Ah or bigger like these
Thanks for the link to the warmer which does not drain the battery, that is good.
But the PV is 24V - 20W and the warmer...
I am busy to calculate an off grid system with PV panels in combination with 2 LFP batteries of 300Ah
It is for a vacationhouse without power in the north of Sweden, around Östersund
Because we are mostly there during the summer I am intent to disconnect the LFP and store them in the house...
I am just back from the RV and could not find so much.
The only think what took 5mA was the AC-DC from Renogy which I have permanently connected to the LFP
I disconnect it just to see if that helps.
When I left I saw on the BMS app that the capacity went down to 227Ah so that is 3Ah in 3 days...
@DJSmiley
The BMV is also off and the 20Ah loss is what I read in the app from the BMS and balancing is active
@Steve_S
I have this BMS and as far as I know without any pins
I have a mainswitch in the + cable from the LFP and I switch it off
I only have BT to read the BMS
How did I connect the...
After a summer of traveling I can declare that I am very happy with the LFP but to keep me happy I like to know something.
Is it normal to loos 20Ah per week when nothing is connected to the LFP just only the BMS with BT module ?
Yes haha that is possible but that is not what I want, I want to check the LFP when I am on the road
Last weekend I was on a camping and I check the LFP and was suppriced - an other RV with the same brand BMS
I use XiaoxiangBMS app and change the name in the app so in the future I know which...
I have the BMS from the picture which works great but everyone can log-in into the BMS and change the settings if they want
That does not feel so well and I like to know whether it is possible to secure the BMS.
Hi, I already install the Renogy 40A and connect the D+ to the BMV700 relay but now I am curious how to setup the relay in the BMV700.
Can someone advice me how to ?
This is the diagram how I connect it and how I did the setup for the relay
You are right (y) - my misunderstanding. :mad:
The 40A version is a 500W version divided by 12,5V is 40A but divided bij 14,7V is 34A
So it will charge the LFP with 34A but take 40A out of the alternator
Is this correct ?
Thanks to this video I bought the 40A booster with a delay relay so the booster start ±3 minutes after the engine runs
I watch it again but I can´t hear Will say the booster boost the alternator voltage. Maybe I misunderstand it.
What I read and understand it limit the current output to 20 or...
First question has been answered, I can charge a LA with the LFP charger.
Yes that is de booster and yes I can charge the LFP with the alternator but the LFP should be charge with 14,6V
Suppost the alternator give 13,8V does the booster rais the voltage to 14,6V to charge the LFP ?
Thanks.
An other question, I have a Renogy DCC booster 40A in the van and my question is if I drive the alternator deliver the power for the start (lead-acid) battery and for the LFP house battery through the booster.
If the alternator voltage drop down to 13,6V does the booster raise the...
