hmmm... I've never heard the updates are cumulative. I assumed they are complete rewrite. Didn't even cross my mind actually. I'm not ready to say everything is working fine, but the update with the latest date seems to be working better regarding charging as compared to my initial problem...

As of about a month ago there were two .bin files in that firmware download at Ian's site. I downgraded from the one dated 2020 07 07 to the one with the earlier date 2020 03 16. The only thing that seemed to change, however, is now at least the unit did charge up past 54v, at least for one...

Ok finally some good news, for me at least. I was able to downgrade the firmware to what I believe is the next earlier version. I've cycled the battery once so far and the Growatt did successfully charge past 54v and is now responding to my charge settings. Friday...time for a beer.

Meanwhile I'll take a look at the flashing utility to see if the .bin file can be extracted from the unit. In my latest attempt to figure this out, the unit won't charge the battery at all and just seems to ignore charge settings altogether. Sigh... Huge loss of time.

I feel your pain. Similar frustration here that this doesn't just work. I originally became concerned when the setting 15 was ignored by the unit and wouldn't even turn off the beeping. Set it to 'off' and the button presses still beep? c'mon After that it's this (huge for me) problem where...
