I know this is years old but this is the best description of my problem so I was curious if you could send me a picture of your solution. Is it just as simple as a small piece of wire connecting the two neutral terminals together along with the normal in/out cables?

I'm not really sure what "based on" means exactly but the onw I got from Minerals has Jikong printed right on the bms and uses the JK app, so if it's not a legit JK bms they did a great job "basing it on it." Lol

I just received this from the seller I purchased mine from and it looks like it accepts 20-40v so we should all be good. Now does anyone know if the RS485 port on this bms will talk to a Growatt? And if so, what all that would entail as far as setting it up? I'm communications protocol dumb.

That’s to initially turn it on. But the information provided with the bms states it needs to be supplied with 40v+ to power it after initial turn on.

Are you buying the minerals one? Please let us know if it works on 24v without having to step up to 40v as I just purchased one but don't have my cells yet to test it. It didn't say anywhere on the listing that it required 40v to work but the "instructions" (such as they are) say it does so now...

@Will Prowse I know you said they are identical inside. the Growatt documentation lists the charge controller as having a much greater mppt operating voltage range then the MPP. Is this actually different or is one of the spec sheets just wrong?

The 272-280 seem to be the largest that i've seen thoroughly tested. I'd be interested to see any tests of the larger cells as I would definitely be interested in them if someone could prove they are legit as the 280 ones.
