    RV Solar Design Advice

@Solarcabin Channel - the RV alternator will power the magnum inverter/charger which I can then use the LFP battery chargers while traveling. Also, the alternator will charge the house bank while under way. @justinm001 - LFP’s will only be used to to keep the lead acid charged. Once the new...

    JK 4S 200A BMS

@Nami, I am in process of installing a 540ah 12v LifePo4 battery system on my boat. I would be very interested in trying your new 200 amp bms As currently I can only charge / discharge at 120ah currently.

    Independent high voltage cutoff

@toms , this was my first thought. Use a second BMS, however that means twice the cell wiring, and a lot of internal components, however does provide redundancy.

    Independent high voltage cutoff

That is what I am looking for, only if it would support 130-200a and voltage be user adjustable. Maybe a new product idea starting to form.

    Independent high voltage cutoff

@TorC , thank you for the link. However is seems that most of the discussion was addressing just the SCC Issue. I need something that could sit in front of the BMS and isolate the battery from all charge sources in the event of an over charge. One thought was to use a second BMS with more...

    Independent high voltage cutoff

Looking for a device to disconnect my LifePo4 battery bank at a configurable voltage as a safety net to my BMS. My boat has an xantrex 2012 so I can not use a Victron Battery Protect. Power can come from alternator, SCC, or the inverter charger. Having just read about a failed SSC that over...

Design review for Hybred FLA / LFP system

@Steve52 , It is common to store your lifePo4 batteries at 50-60% SOC, as long as both batteries are nearly at the same charge, there should not be a problem. If your FLA batteries are low however, you could encounter a large serge.

    Best layout for for cells

@FilterGuy, My thoughts were to have a high voltage disconnect device disconnect the LifePo4 batteries prior to the LifePo4 BMS Disconnect. Essentially 2 BMS's - the first monitoring and disconnecting the at a voltage lower / higher than the Lifepo4 BMS, then the actual battery BMS will still...

    Hybrid LifeP04 - FLA advice

What are your thoughts on the new Chargery DCC's. I like how they just plug into the BMS. Do you like my idea of putting a battery protect cutoff in front of the actual BMS? I am looking at this unit, it is supposed to boost / reduce charging voltage Sterling Power Battery to Battery Charger...
