Stick with a plastic cased cell, thin aluminum cases do not do well with salt water.

@toms , this was my first thought. Use a second BMS, however that means twice the cell wiring, and a lot of internal components, however does provide redundancy.

That is what I am looking for, only if it would support 130-200a and voltage be user adjustable. Maybe a new product idea starting to form.

Do you already have plans drawn up? There is lots of software that can produce building plans.

@Steve52 , It is common to store your lifePo4 batteries at 50-60% SOC, as long as both batteries are nearly at the same charge, there should not be a problem. If your FLA batteries are low however, you could encounter a large serge.

The challenge is to ensure the voltage between the FLA and LFP are very close before connecting the two systems for the next outing.

I would avoid aluminum case cells. I’d select CALB USA cells. They are matched by the factory and and well built. (designed for aircraft, and a bit expensive)

Off topic, I would suggest moving your water pump. A high pressure leak could ruin your electrical equipment.
