    JDB BMS App Issue

The new app from JBD. Unfortunately the "Control" section is locked and I can not enable charge/discharge. Opening is going to be a larger project since the battery is sealed, but I will go that route. Does the BMS need to be disconnected to charge the battery?

    JDB BMS App Issue

    JDB BMS App Issue

There is some sort of link. After updating the battery name it shows up on every device I try to connect to it. So it clearly has access to the battery or the name would not have updated and show on other phones. But you are right something is probably off with the Bluetooth. Have two...

    JDB BMS App Issue

I can connect to the battery using the new JBD app (the one with the elephant). Was able to change the name which is recognized by the other apps so I know it is connecting. There is an authorize option on that app, I clicked that the other day, but no authorization yet. not sure if anyone...

    Victron Multiplus II Wiring Question

Have a question on the wiring for my Multiplus II 3000(AC Side) which will be installed in a tiny house. I have read multiple forums and watched every youtube video out there, but seems like there is not a one approach concensus. Wire size will be 6/3 per manual. - I have seen romex used...

Question on Grounding Main Panel in Tiny House Trailer

Any recommendations on what you would do with heating water? Could always go the propane route or an RV model so I could use solar when available and propane when not, but those not cheap either. Currently thinking a 12gallon POU water heater and having a timer to heat during the day when...

Question on Grounding Main Panel in Tiny House Trailer

G Good Point, I check and similar size is just shy of twice the usage in terms of daily Watt Hrs. $1400 savings and could increase my battery bank for cloudy days and rain and buy several panels with that. not sure why I was thinking it would be more usage on a regular fridge.

Question on Grounding Main Panel in Tiny House Trailer

Planning on installing solar on the roof, thought that is not set in stone yet. GFCI protection is a good idea, I could easily accomplish that with GFCI breakers. With the size of the trailer, will probably only have 3-4 circuits at the most. Lights and refrigerator will be 12v, only have two...

Question on Grounding Main Panel in Tiny House Trailer

A bit confused on this as I see conflicting information. Understand that the dc side needs to be bonded to the trailer, and everything on the AC side needs to be grounded to the main panel. Question is where to I ground the main panel? The trailer will be stationary and I could ground to...

    Question on All-in-one Inverter

Have a question on all- in-one inverters. Specifically looking at EG4 or Growatt 3k system. The installation would be for an off grid tiny house where I would like to shut off AC power when we are not there. Do these unit allow turning off AC power but still charge the batteries through PV...

    Lithium Battery Discharged to 5.5v

I have tried searching, probably not using the correct search terms. Any suggestions on how to kick start a 12v lithium battery from being discharged to 5.5v? The battery has blue tooth monitoring built in and can't be shut off. Any Help is appreciated.

    Lithium Batteries for Alarm Panel

Its time to replace the battery in our alarm panel and was thinking of going lithium. The panel I have is a Vista 21p as I measured the voltage looks like the charge voltage is right at 13.7. If I hook up a lithium battery to that, I don't see how it could ever get overcharged, but wanted to...

    Question on Wiring

That is also a possibility. I will look at the device and see if it has a range of operating voltage, if so plan on wiring straight to dc, if not I will stick with a small inverter and the original transformer.

    Question on Wiring

That is actually a good idea and what I was thinking after I started looking at step down converters which are not 100% efficient either. Have a 120w samlex from when we first purchased the trailer and thought that would work, our plans quickly changed as we were on a quest for the perfect cup...

    Question on Wiring

It is Lifepo4. Was thinking only watts mattered when the volts are that close. The router will probably draw 2A at12v. if it came in at 13.2, the amps would be slightly lower.

    Question on Wiring

This is probably a silly question, but if I have a router that is currently on a transformer (12v 2a) with a 2.1mm tip. Would prefer not to have the inverter on when in use, thinking I should just be able to splice into the wires get rid of the transformer and connect directly to a Battery...
