Inaccurate temperature readings - Solar Assistant vs EG4 LL BMS Screen

Has anyone else had this issue? I have 3 EG4 LL 48V batteries. They were reading -3c, 04c, and -3c. When I checked Solar Assistant, they read 39.2F, 41F, and 44.6F. Any thoughts on why the difference?? The SOC percentages on the batteries and Solar Assistant were the same and correct.

    Check my motorhome Solar/battery system

That is what I did at my cabin because I used server rack batteries. Each has its own breaker. I would like to do that in our motorhome as well, if they fit.

    MOTORHOME LiPo CHARGING QUESTION

Thank you for this thread. We are looking at living full-time in a motorhome starting next year and I am anxious to switch to solar in a motorhome. After installing an entire 48v system at our off-grid cabin, I need to do MORE lol. Does anyone know if it is possible to disconnect the ability...

    Check my motorhome Solar/battery system

Nice clean setup! We are looking to live full-time in a motorhome by September of 2025 and I definitely want to change the power over to 48v solar system. I have installed a complete system at our off-grid cabin and it came out great. If I do say so myself lol. However, it would have...

LV6548 shutting down with EG4 Chargeverter & blown Solar Assistant

Well here is Signature Solar response. That may be the problem then. The batteries cannot charge and discharge at the same time and attempting to do so can cause something to short out. I think the fact that the generator was not running when the breaker on the Chargrveter was turned on...

LV6548 shutting down with EG4 Chargeverter & blown Solar Assistant

How are they connected then ??? Chargeverter positive to battery 3 and negative to battery 1. All items connected to the 51.2v are inter-connected. How has your Pi died, blowed up/no power or maybe the memory card failed. No longer is transmitting Bluetooth signal. Haven't tried hooking...

Solar assistant: do you use it?

I have used it, but the first one I bought didn't work and they sent me a new one. The second one has last about a year, and now doesn't transmit Bluetooth signal anymore :( For the cost, I can't keep buying it if it only lasts a year. I loved the data I was able to see with it though.

LV6548 shutting down with EG4 Chargeverter & blown Solar Assistant

I was initially doing this as well, but was wondering if it was drawing much of anything on the batteries. Have you noticed if it draws much? I might do this again as well.

LV6548 shutting down with EG4 Chargeverter & blown Solar Assistant

Agreed. It sounds to me like something with the Chargeverter. Wierd since the Chargeverter connects to batteries and not directly to the LV6548. Will be interested to see what Signature Solar says.

Initial info is what I sent to Signature Solar tech support Hello I have been using the chargeverter for a couple of months now. I have an Lv6548 inverter and 3 Eg4 LL 48v batteries and have Solar Assistant connected to monitor the entire system. Yesterday when turned on the chargeverter...

SOC inconsistent and not close to each battery

I finally got my EG4-LL v2 battery installed on my system and it seems to be working well. However, now my SOC's are extremely different across all 3 batteries. Here is a screen shot from Solar Assistant. Pack 1 is the v2 battery and packs 2 and 3 are v1 batteries. The SOC's did seem fairly...

    Solar Assistant and EG4 Batteries

I would try changing the DIP switches. The one closes to the inverter set at "2". Then next 3, then 4 and so forth.

Battery SOC's - How far off is okay?

Well then..................... I thought that was the way I wired them up, but............... I'm going to move the positive from batter 1 to battery 3 and keep the negative on battery 1 Glad I asked the stupid question LOL Thanks as always!!

Battery SOC's - How far off is okay?

I have one V2 EG4-LL battery and two of the V1's in parallel. How close should all 3 batteries be for the SOC's?? Currently the batter closest to the inverter (LV6548) is at 71 SOC. Next battery is at 76 SOC. Last battery is at 81 SOC. I know the first battery can be lower because it is...

    Solar Assistant and EG4 Batteries

I was actually able to get Solar Assistant to work fine with the new battery. It now shows all 3 battery packs and no issues......so far lol I had to set the new v2 battery dip switches to #2. Second v1 batter dip to #3. Third v1 battery to dip #4. Connected to SA first try.

    EG4 Chargeverter 5000 Not Charging

I'm hoping to figure this out before I start re-wiring plugs, but this could be a potential answer. I don't like the feel of the adapter I have going into the 30-amp plug on the generator. Thank you for the photos! I will keep these and check mine out.

    EG4 Chargeverter 5000 Not Charging

I had actually thought about that, but need to get a 120 3-prong plug to wire to the AC outlet. Signature Solar was actually reviewing this thread as well and I am awaiting their response. Thanks!

    EG4 Chargeverter 5000 Not Charging

No I haven't. Since our location is fully off-grid, I don't have another source. I do have another 2200i I might be able to get ahold of and try though.

    EG4 Chargeverter help.

    EG4 Chargeverter 5000 Not Charging

Well, this worked. Sort of. The highest I can go is 53.6 volts with anywhere from 1 amp and above. Anything above 53.6, causes the chergeverter to turn off and reset. I had it set at 53.6v and 50amp. It was hovering around 6 amps after a couple of minutes. After leaving it on for about 45...

    EG4 Chargeverter 5000 Not Charging

Last spring I installed the EG4 Chargeverter 5000 on my system which consists of an LV6548 and 2 EG4-LL 48v 100a batteries. It worked fine the one time I used it in the spring, but now it doesn't want to charge. I have it hooked into my Honda 2200i generator using the 30amp plug. I've tried...

    EG4-LL 48v 100ah V1 vs V2 Help

Need some wisdom here. I've been getting conflicting information from Signature Solar. I have 2 of the EG4-LL 48v 100ah batteries v1 and considering adding a third one but can't find V1 batteries. Been told I have to upgrade my firmware in the 2 I have in order to add a V2 battery. Then...

Pair of LV6548 or EG4 3000 evh , which is more reliable, dependable and foolproof

I've read a lot of posts as well regarding "cheap" LED bulbs. Can't say whether mine are the "cheap ones" or not. Bought most of them through our electric company back home. The ceiling pot lights are HD LED lights. So those are probably the "cheap ones". The lights will do a quick flicker...
