All connected, just need to build a false wall now. I am thinking about plexiglass across the top. The MP, MP DC Switch and Watchdog will have cutouts in a thin carpeted wall.

Thank you for all the info. I just moved the 200lb beast into the camper and starting to wire everything. I plan on testing and keeping an eye on the terminals for heat and voltage loss. I have a small wire brush that I cleaned the terminal and washers with.

Thanks. The nuts and washers are stainless. Not sure on the stud itself. The base is aluminum. My neighbor has a machine shop and made me some aluminum washers to go under the bus bars and connect terminals to give a little more surface area. I have seen all kinks of mixed opinions on...

Here is how the box goes together. 1. Empty box. 2. Side view. 3. Corner view. Can see the extended bottom which will hold it down when slid in place like a drawer. 4. Cells in box. 5. Boards inserted to hold down on cells. Notches to hold BMS board in place. 6. BMS board in place. 7. Boards...

Would love to, but I don't think my current job would allow me the time to do it. It would have to be evenings and weekend, so it would take me a while to complete.

I learned this after the fact. Through I would be fine as the Victron Distributer and Powen in is setup for MEGA fuses. The BMS units have short circuit protection, but I don't want to rely on them. I plan to chang it out.

Mounted the board with all the components in the RV. Test fitted the battery box. Now to put all the cells in the battery box, connect the bus bars and BMS units. Then I will need to connect the DC loads and mount the inverter/charger. Then connect the DC to it and wire up the AC side.

Added a few more components. Took the old lead acid batteries out. I had to change a little of the existing wiring. Removed extra and bypassed the old disconnect. The landing gear for the 5th wheel and a couple other items are on a seperate system than the DC fuse panel. All wiring for it is...

Getting some hardware mounted and cables ran. I hope to mount this in the RV tomorrow and get the BMS balance leads wired up and install the batteries. Next will be the inverter and AC wiring.

I have the steps taken apart and rebuilding so I can fit the batteries under them. Relocating the MP 3000 to the right. It should have better air flow here. I may put in a devider to seperate it somewhat from the water system.

Pulled the middle step out of the camper and fitting battery box. Removing the center support and widening it a couple inches. I think I am going to use a piece of angle iron for the header.

    EVE or LISHEN

I have not been hearing good things about the 300+ah cells. I just received 16 of the Lishen 272ah cells that I ordered through @Michael B Caro . They came with studs laser welded on, so you don't have to worry about the threads stripping out. Just getting them charged up and top balanced...

    LiFePO4 setup with 16 x 272 Ah Cells

I am building a system and went with 12v. 16 x 272ah cells configured into 4 12v batteries. 4 Overkill 120a BMS units. Kind of kicking myself now. Wish I would have went 24v now due to MPPT controllers. I am planning on 1,800 to 2,400 watts of solar. Depending on roof space. I will need 3 of the...

The Victron does have a lithium setting and then you can customize those settings if you like. I was wondering about precharging the inverter capacitors so you don't have an arc when connecting batteries.

First time, probably not. If they had to be disconnected (switched off) it could be a way to get buy in a pinch if you don't have a way to precharge. Thought came to mind and wanted to get others opinions.

I am using a Victron 3000 Inverter/Charger. If I am connected to shore power then the converter should be supplying DC power. Am I thinking correctly that in this senerio, I will not need to precharge when connecting the battery bank?

You are correct on the configuration and that you should store at 60% if for long term storage. I have the Cerbo GX with the touch color display to monitor with. The PI sounds like a great alternative but I don't know much about them. I am fine with discussing them in this thread if someone...
