    Active balancer, make it smart!?

If that delta (at 56.4 and 48) is without a balancer than i wouldn't even use one! ? Amazingly matched cells! Sure, right now (subject to change) charge stop at 55.2v (because we have a runner cell but maybe the a30 and the new threads (a few were stripped) will hopefully reduce that issue)...

JBD BMS - How to correct inaccurate SOC value ✅

First download the overkill app and check your capacity configuration settings, especially the 100% to 0% voltage values, if there is anything unusual.

JBD BMS - How to correct inaccurate SOC value ✅

    Tested a 5000mAh cell with my Ebc-A05+ tester. Results: Voltage while charging with 0.4C SOC (two test rounds) 3.40V 77.5 , 78.7% 4.45V 94.1 , 94.9% 4.50V 97.6 , 97.9% 4.55V 98.4 , 98.6% 4.65V (Without absorption) 99.1 , 99.2% 4.65V (With absorption) 100% Voltage while...

JBD BMS - How to correct inaccurate SOC value ✅

Guess not much significant harm to do this briefly once for the sake of science. I read in studies the longer you leave batteries in a fully charged or -depleted state the more harm is done. Left in a fully depleted state is even more harmful if i remember right. For example I read fully charged...

DC MCB for battery - correct wiring or ?

Should i better get an MCCB like this? Not sure where the difference between the MCB above and this MCCB lies but i have seen them frequently installed between battery and inverter. Advantage maybe is that they use ring terminals, more contact area. DC12V DC24V MCCB Circuit Breaker 150A 200A...

DC MCB for battery - correct wiring or ?

Hello I just saw a few YouTube videos about dc circuit breakers going up in flames because of wrong wiring etc.. We use following breaker between our 200Ah 48V Lifepo4 battery and 5kw inverter. It's mainly used to isolate the battery during maintenance work. DC MCB 24V 48V 96V DZ47 circuit...

JBD BMS - How to correct inaccurate SOC value ✅

    1. Bms calculates soc via coulomb counting and estimates through reference voltage values (100% to 0%). How it seems to work: In real time it uses coulomb (doesn't reference to voltage), if manual reset, reboot, change of values in settings etc it uses the reference voltage values as a first...

JBD BMS - How to correct inaccurate SOC value ✅

Sorry i have to correct myself, the jbd counts everything but doesn't show anything below 4-5w. The bms should be more accurate than pzem. Bms also counts coulomb. Just use this discharge to get to test compare etc your meters and bms. Important before you start your capacity test (start...

JBD BMS - How to correct inaccurate SOC value ✅

Also, ideally for this test, don't charge or discharge your battery with more than 0.5C. 0.5C of 200ah is 100A! Check in the datasheet of your battery which charge and discharge rate was used when they did the factory capacity test.

JBD BMS - How to correct inaccurate SOC value ✅

Important, the discharge or charge current should be relatively steady. Use a clampmeter (keep in mind +-2% accuracy) to check the current and voltage. Then compare values with pzem and bms. Also check current before and after bms and before and after pzem to check if there is something unusual...

JBD BMS - How to correct inaccurate SOC value ✅

Yes you have to keep in mind everyone uses different measurement tools so the values differ. You just have to be consistent, means use the values of the meter you trust the most. My values match my application and usage. Since that differs from case to case, yes you will eventually find your...

JBD BMS - How to correct inaccurate SOC value ✅

The coulombmeter in the jbd bms is pretty accurate, you can use it for that purpose. You can use also both (pzem) if you want. Use this app instead, it has more values (100 90 80 ....) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.marchingband.overkillsolar These are my values for reference...

JBD BMS - How to correct inaccurate SOC value ✅

Don't you have a smart bms? There you can also see the Ah. At 100% = 200ah just discharge 20ah. Check in your smart bms app.

JBD BMS - How to correct inaccurate SOC value ✅

Excellent! Usually the Battery Ah (200ah) are calculated with its nominal voltage which is 3.2V or 4s = 12.8v. you should use that number. If you want to have exact numbers fully charge and discharge your battery to check real Ah and Wh of your battery.

JBD BMS - How to correct inaccurate SOC value ✅

Clampmeter is enough for the beginning, if you want to have more accurate numbers you will have to buy something like following: TK15 Professional Precision Battery Capacity Tester for Portable Equipment E-bike/Balance Car/Cleaning Machine https://a.aliexpress.com/_mqXxTd0 Or cheaper and good as...

JBD BMS - How to correct inaccurate SOC value ✅

Hi, Let's say you have a 10ah battery. So discharging 1ah of it means 10%. For this you need of course a ah-meter, wattmeter or similar. If you don't have one then use a set load, let's say you discharge at 1a for easy math, then it takes 1h till you have discharged 10%. 1a x 1h = 1ah = 10% of 10ah

Many many thanks, absolute amazing work! Convinced, will order the screen as well, would be a shame if i wouldn't. Looks great and makes me want to order the display as well... Is yours the touch version or the normal one? The 2.4inch or 2.8inch since both are 240x320?
