Hi Mike would it not be a good idea to try and insulate you home better first. Yes this will cost up front but the savings long term could save you $$$$$$$

We don’t have a dryer or dishwasher they can use a lot of power Hopefully that helps

The coldest we have had is -10C (14F) 3S 4P would work 3x40.4v is 121.2v 4x10.6A is 42.4A Would have to use 15A fuse in the combiner box for each parallel string Want a 48v system with about 5kw in panels. Would have to use 150V / 70A controller because it can take 4000w @ 48V

Was looking at these panel Was going to do 4s 2p to a combiner box then 150v 60a charge controller Not sure what size inverter next. Possibly do double above to one inverter Thought please

We have on AC a very hot summers day for us is 25c(77f) but winter is maybe -5c (23f) All energy bills £175 per month ($238) Gas can be on 8/9 Months a year for heating (shower , hot water and cooker top is gas)
