12v Lithium to replace 12v LA-Deep in RV with constant feed from 48->12 Converter

Wouldn't it be easier to add a second Orion converter in parallel?

    48V vs 24V why/why not?

From everything I've read, I see two minor drawbacks to 48v. 1) It can be harder to get components rated up to 55 or 60v. People are often asking about fuse blocks and disconnects rated for the higher voltage. 2) You want to make sure you can get your solar panel voltage high enough for the...

NM-B wire in Multiplus II RV install

Normally you would use THHN wire in conduit.

    12v or 24v battery

I'm hoping to test that myself soon when I can get some time. The manual for the Kisae says it will accept power from solar down to 15v and still charge a 24v battery.

    12v or 24v battery

If you are leaning toward a 24v system, you should consider a Kisae DMT2430 dc to dc charger with MPPT. You can configure how much current it will take from the 12v alternator. It will also take up to 50 vdc input from solar and charge up to 30a in a 24v system.

Better Way To Handle Reverse Current Flow

I guess it's a different use case then, I use a 30v 60a version of the same power supply for charging and I don't enable OVP. The battery starts off lower (since I'm charging it) and stops at the set voltage.

Better Way To Handle Reverse Current Flow

Did you consider just not using the OVP feature?

    JK BMS received

I think that's the model I'm about to order and the terminal holes should be threaded.

    12V Vs 24V Battery Bank

It's not just 1/0ga to the inverter, I find I can run 18ga wire to various lights and USB chargers I'm installing. It's much easier routing those really small wires. I went back and forth for a while on voltage trying to decide between 12 and 24. I'm really happy I went with 24.

    Metal used for Compression

I'm working on a build now using 10ga galvanized which works out to just over 1/8. So far I'm very happy with it, you just have to insulate it from the cells - I'm using a very thin fiberglass material called GPO-3 for that.

usb-c Power Delivery Panel Mounting [laptops]: Why is there not much postings?

I've been using these in my RV (with a 24v system): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08SQCBC2C It was the only one in that form factor I could find with 60w output on the PD port. Others rated higher output levels, but it was a combination of both of their ports while this one outputs...

    Series/parallel with AC

Not sure if this helps, but most AC circuits are parallel. A good example of a series AC circuit are the Christmas lights where when one bulb goes out, they all do.

    24v to 12v converter

The 40 amp fuses are probably the reverse polarity protection fuses (that's how mine were labeled anyway). It sounds like you're starting the same job I'm just finishing. I completely removed the 12v converter that came with my trailer and power all the 12v circuits from that same Orion...

LiFePO4 prismatic cell short circuit current and main circuit protection

Earlier in the thread, there was mention of placing fuses between the cells of a battery. If one of those internal fuses were to blow, what's the impact on the BMS positive lead?
