I would disagree that cycles are bad defined; at least each supplier will define a specific cycle their batteries will support x-times before reaching 80% (or whatever value)... so that is well defined. But indeed; how this specified cycle translate into actual use and 'real' life cycles is...

The specs of the (lifepo4-cells-) manufacturers who only talk about cycles. Or do you have a reference of aging specs based on time?

Note; the question also as I want to build a solution that next to store energy from solar panels, i want a battery system that can make use of a dynamic tarrif; this could mean going to 300+ cycles per year versus only 100 when only using solar energy to be stored in the batteries.

In my case, looking for the 280Ah EVE cells; but I don't think anyone has experience with these cells over 10 years or like 5.000+ cycles. So it is a wild guess if EVE can hold to its promises. Or worse how EVE resellers "grade B" batteries will do.

Hello, Did you find a solution? Or differently put; why do you think the JKBMS could work with that inverter/charger? Unless you work with a JLBMS protocol-Solis protocol adapter, these can not work together. A solution could be to have the battery identified on the inverter as a lead battery.

Is there a BMS that integrates with an inverter but is only checking SOC? And not checking the individual cells? Reason; most of the BMSs -like 16S- don't support a dedicated list of inverters. But they work fine to monitor cells, do some balancing and protect the battery against over/under...

For the high voltage battery without integration with the Inverter/Charger it will not work. I don't see any mentioning how these BMSs could integrate with a Invertor/Charger.

My Daly BMS 12V current measurement is bad. Everything below 1A it is not seeing. Result is that after a week or 2 of not charging in my camper the SOC is way of. I don't use it at all, just for checking if it is working. The battery monitor is doing the real monitoring work.

Related to the kitchen cutting boards... You don't know what their melting or deformation temperature is. As such I would use them. Staying in the kitchen. I rather would use a silicon flexible cooking board. Or better; there are tapes that have a high temperature rating. I used that.
